Gracious ones, the sheer naivete of mankind concerning the powers rampant within his own world exerts an unhealthy influence over those individuals who unwittingly accept the dictates of their own and others' wrong thoughts and feelings.
Would to God that among the students of light there was a greater knowledge of how to prevent the acceptance within the personal world of the negative implications of others, which are constantly sent forth as vilification and calumny of those lifestreams who are wholly dedicated to the raising of this planet into the greatest age that has ever manifested upon Earth. Scarcely are we able to organize and plan for an endeavor before the desultory forces of negativity are at work attacking the lifestream, character, and plan of those who represent us.
If I were to expose the many sides of this misadventure, it would raise many eyebrows. I am never anxious to spread abroad detailed accounts of the forces that have in the past destroyed both king and kingdom, but I am anxious to exert a stabilizing influence upon all seekers for light and truth. Be wise, blessed ones, and not gullible to accept every statement that individuals make, either in print or orally. Learn to examine the motives behind human trumpery. Why do you suppose the forces of negation have for so long been able to entrench themselves upon the planet? Is it not in part because of the control they exert upon mankind through the mass media of communication - newspapers, magazines, books, and periodicals - through which they may feed into the domain of the world mind that mass hysteria which enables the manipulators to control individuals?
Why do you suppose that we have established through the ascended master press used by The Summit Lighthouse a perfect means of distribution for our words? It is to uphold the concrete examples of ascended master love before mankind and to provide a forum through which we can speak on many specific subjects when our counsel is needed. Because of the tremendous conflict raging in the world of form, we are not always able, due to human limitation, to release all of our ideas and thoughts into manifestation at the precise instant when it is desirable to do so. It is true that we have improved over the years in many of our facilities, and that we are presently engaged in the solidification of these facilities at La Tourelle in the Rocky Mountains. Let it be clear, however, that reserve power is the requirement of this hour. The staff presently engaged in serving our cause there have, quite naturally, experienced limitation from time to time in amassing the necessary supplies for the carrying on of our activity of illumination to the world.
We do not wish to have the student body become ostriches with their heads in the sand, and we feel that it is necessary that you know that a greater measure of support from the field is essential if we are to bring forth that God-design which you long for. Provisions for the soldiers in the field are essential in the carrying out of mortal warfare. Spiritual warfare, too, has its requirements; and I hesitate to think what will happen to the world itself if one of our most able voices were to be closed off, simply for lack of enough interest and support.
How can individuals have a casual interest in spiritual things which are the very root of their entire life's activities? When our instruments fail to bring forth all that is in our heart, it is seldom attributable to their own weakness but often results from the impediments cast in their pathway by unillumined men and women, quick to turn a deaf ear to the very sure Word of their salvation. Those involved in the salvation of a planet ever find it a risky business to depend upon the world for the wherewithal to carry on; whereas mankind often feel isolated and apart from our endeavors. To foster a sense of unity with all is our aim, but this unity should result in greater freedom from fear, from want, and from unnecessary restraint on the part of those whose labors of love are so acutely needed in this hour.
The fount of our energy is poured to the planet so that it may be distributed even as the precious commodity of water is distributed through the land by irrigation systems. To clog the trenches with useless debris, to spend one's energies and assets in fruitless doings for the satisfaction of idle curiosity, is not to be compared with the well-ordained and well-organized plans which stem from the deliberations of our own councils of light, the Darjeeling Council, the Indian Council, and the Council of the Grand Teton - as well as from the magnificent concepts of the Brothers of Illumination at Lake Titicaca.
The bonds of the Great White Brotherhood sometimes hang, so to speak, on delicate threads, but when one considers the awful attacks of the black magicians in this very day against our spiritual orders, when one considers the stress and strain upon the four lower bodies of our messengers and devotees, and when the uncertainties of life are brought before the screen of the mind, it is clear that men must make their destiny, rather than be molded by it.
May the sheaves and tithes of your gathering be placed in our storehouse, that greater fruit come forth day by day. Remember, the future manifests because preparation is first made and then wisely apportioned by our stewards for the salvation of all in time of greatest need.
