Vol. 9 No. 12 - Beloved Mother Mary - March 20, 1966

As the dancing light in the eyes of a child speaks of realms other than those of this earth, so do highlights often glimmer in the young men and women of the world when, in unspoiled freshness of heart and mind, they unfold the joyous expectancy of hope for life at hand. In the quietness of a garden, and in the contemplation of nature bursting into bud, do the strands of hope, ever and eternally renewed, come year after year into manifestation.

As a mother watches a young child expand his tiny limbs until together with mind and consciousness they seem to aspire afar, so does the great inner flame of God within gaze upon each one as Father, Mother-Spirit, most holy, hoping against hope that each tiny child, returned to manifestation in the world of form to renew old associations, right old wrongs, and win new victories, will be successful in the carrying out of the divine aims implanted within. That these beautiful aims and lovely ideas of God and his holy angels seem too faint to be sensed by the aspiring consciousness, so as to be clearly understood, may seem a pity to many. However, let this feeling of sadness concerning the still, small voice of God be not held, let it not rule in your heart, for as we gaze upon the records of the lives of mankind individually, and by comparison assess the world situation against that which it was in days of old, we are aware that, regardless of appearances, there are more souls today who can clearly discern the voice of God than there were in the olden days!

Men and women who have perpetrated crimes against individuals, society, and even against the Deity, those who have desecrated their own souls, are "the many" whose shortened life-spans are the result of their dissipations of God's holy energy, which practice has produced for them scarcely any of the fruits of happiness whereas the men and women of great vision who have served in the known world and realized only in smaller segments the hand of opportunity, extending as immortal life in the realm of God, have derived therefrom incomprehensible happiness. This happiness floods the world today and inhabits a strata within the atmosphere and within the heart and consciousness of mankind.

As a bird in flight hovers, in most cases, near the earth, a friendly tree, and a verdant terrain, so those who are able to go apart in quiet consciousness and commune with God can live in these wonders of his being and Presence right while the most sordid manifestations exist all around them. I do not mean to imply that it is not advantageous to seek a quiet place away from the multitudes and a place of communion where the templed atmosphere may draw one closer to heaven and God, but what I wish to convey that is of particular note is that no circumstance in the outer world of form is permanent, nor can it forever delay the perfect manifestation of the divine plan for you.

In olden days it was my joy to contemplate the mastery of my son Jesus. Today, all of the children of the world are regarded by me as my own. And when one of them reaches up heart, head, or hand, in divine seeking or yearning to serve the kingdom cause, I cannot fail to respond to that one if I am called upon. But for those who have restrictions in their consciousness and prefer to follow certain aspects of the Reformation - which were the result of an overcompensation for the ills of the then current religious dogma - for those who still conceive of my being as a lesser idol, I withdraw in gentle love into the folds of heaven's grace and from afar pray for that soul. But for those who wish to draw nigh unto God, by embracing the compassion of my heart which belongs so completely unto him, I will impart my love and the grace that God has given to me as an assistance to those precious lifestreams.

So it is with all those who have gone on before, those who have attained, and in bliss eternal do enjoy the felicity of heaven. They, too, are willing to respond to those devotees who elect to call upon them. This is never a matter of idolatry, or a tearing away of the heart from God. It is simply an assimilation of the divine hands of friendship in a more personal manner to those who yet require a personal touch from God. There is never desecration in this if the motive be pure and if dedication to the eternal Father be the goal of the soul.

Did not Our Lord say, "Love one another"? How can true love, then, desecrate the object of its affection? Purity and right motive of soul are so determinate in blending the aspirations of men with realization. Beauty and strength go hand in hand, and the sense of beauty is so resolute in developing true beauty and true strength.

To ready oneself for a Gethsemane, for a Golgotha, for a resurrection, or for the final victory and triumph of the ascension has high requirements; unyielding faith is a prerequisite to completion. To sense that you are not alone, by being bereft either of friends or companions along the way, is helpful, but to understand that the spiritual forerunners of past ages are watching your progress still, and are not so far removed from you by time or by the concepts of the contemporary world, is a great blessing to those who can accept it.

We are your contemporaries today, more so than many of those ephemeral ones who walk beside you in the marketplace. They often seek their own gains or to tear from you some beautiful softness of soul which they, themselves, cannot accept and would but desecrate in order to feel a moment of mortal triumph. We would restore to you the great communion of hearts that makes one wide world and one beautiful cosmos.

The kingdom of God is within you - that is to say, the key is there. You must place it in the golden door, as did my son, Jesus, and accept the reality of heaven that is all around you. The emptiness of atheism and the travesty of agnosticism are both symbols of the incomplete. Men and women who have mastered language, art, science, and worldly learning, according to its finite possibilities, are often most lacking in their understanding of cosmic adventure. They live but a moment upon the wind and then they are scattered to a new seed time.

But the Lord abideth forever, and those who love the great magnetism of his heart of love will tremble in joy and anticipation to fulfill his holy will. As my son, and as your beloved Saint Germain, they will seek freedom's star, both near and far. They will triumph, and they will win.

     I love you always,

MOTHER MARY
