Mothers of the world, I AM Aurora of the Light and Presence of Archangel Uriel. I have come with legions of angels who tend, therefore, the mothers of the world as they give birth to their firstborn.
To the firstborn son, to the daughter of sacred fire, to all evolutions I am come. For the angels who attend the birth of the child are truly sent of Christ, sent of the Word of the Mother - sent, beloved, because Life has the right to be in its manifestation from the highest to the lowest spectrum.
We, beloved, embrace the child. We must wrap the child in the swaddling garment of light, fully mindful that some, some may absorb the light of the Mother's veil while others have their own veils of karma and astral substance from which plane they have come and therefore cannot yet receive in their physical/mental awareness that which is done for all at the etheric level.
Beloved, those who sponsor mothers, motherhood and childhood must always come bearing peace and the sword.1 Understand, then, that Archangel Uriel does come for the judgment of nations and for the pouring out of one of the vials of the seven last plagues - indeed, mankind's returning karma.
Beloved of the living flame of sacred fire, you have understood that in this Dark Cycle, under the direction of Helios and Vesta in the sun of Gemini, there does return to the earth, to all of her evolutions, that which they have sent forth as the ignoring of the Law - their envy, their jealousy, their covetousness and lusting after the Light and that Good which is God, for which they have not been willing to pay the price. And therefore, on the other side of this Alpha/Omega thrust and return, the Dark Cycle sends back their full vent of resentment, revenge, retaliation and judgment [which they have directed] upon the Lightbearers, upon whom they take their revenge for the judgments of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Beware, then, the judgment of the Holy Spirit, O ye sons of men. For it does return unto you in this hour that which you dare send against these little ones - the holy innocents of God, the children and the babes.
Beloved, you have heard of the sin against the Holy Ghost which cannot be forgiven.2 And you have heard of the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place where it ought not.3 These, beloved, may have historical interpretations which are accurate in their time, but I say to you that in this hour the sin against the Holy Ghost and the abomination of desolation does return to the evildoer every sin committed against the children and youth of the world.
Beloved, it is a serious hour for the consideration of Lightbearers and those who have been the sponsors of youth - angels who have taken embodiment as parents and teachers and devoted public servants. Beloved, understand, then, that when this judgment does come upon the seed of the wicked - ere it come - they seek to thrust it from themselves upon the people of Light. See how the Lightbearers have borne in their very bodies and in the bodies of their children and the children in the womb that which has spewed forth from the nuclear accident in the Soviet Union.4
Realize, then, beloved, that when you see the darkness of karma descending, [it is well to] take care that you raise the right hand in the name of God and see to it that it is turned against those whose judgment it is. Though you know not who that may be and dare not judge yourself, the Great Law will act and return individually to those who are the perpetrators of Darkness in every nation that which they have put upon the people. As you are very close to the Holy Spirit and to the descending sacred fire, so may you be in the vortex of that Holy Ghost - in the very eye and center - and in the presence of the Lord Maha Chohan, who is the representative of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved, I tell you, the judgments are upon the earth for the sin against the Holy Ghost. Thus, consider this abomination in the holy place of the temple of God where those who stand at the altar of God send forth their judgments against the Lightbearers and the Mystical Body of God and lay claim to the mantle of Christ when they deny his children, his sons and daughters the Path which he came to unveil.5
Understand, beloved, that we here reveal that Path and we shall reveal it. And we shall continue to do so, for we are the teachers of the Lightbearers and the children of God universally where'er they be in any religion or without.
Thus, so long as we have the mouthpiece and the Church and the body of communicants in one heart and vibration, so will this Teaching as the bread of Life6 go forth for the feeding of those who hunger after this bread. The bread of eternal Life, who is the living Christ, has come down to you in the person of your own beloved Holy Christ Self and in the person of the Teaching itself. For the Teaching is a very personal instructor, beloved. As you read and contemplate the Word, as you hear it, the Word itself is the instructor of your soul and you receive the enlightenment of the Holy Ghost.
Therefore, understand, beloved, that we protect those who are becoming the incarnation of the Word with an extraordinary protection. For the protection of God through holy angels is for the protection of that which is Godlike or essaying to be Godlike.
Understand, then, that the Word itself and the angels of the LORD who embody that Word do send forth the vials7 of Almighty God in the Alpha and the Omega of mankind's sowings and reapings. Therefore, beloved, the Word that is sent forth does also anticipate the reaction to that Word.
Where the Word is thrust - and that Light that does contact the Darkness of the fallen ones - and the fallen ones therefore are about to return their revenge upon the source of that Light, we must, simultaneously with the release of the Word, thrust in the very forefront of those who deliver it and the Keepers of the Flame and the Lightbearers the presence of the Word as our Presence, our Electronic Presence, which is of the angels of the LORD.
You would do well if you would study your vocabulary of the Word and know in fact the true definition of the angel of the LORD as it is written in the glossary of Saint Germain's book On Alchemy.8 Thus, you would understand whereof I speak, for the archangels of the LORD do truly embody the LORD's I AM Presence.
Therefore, beloved, you must understand that in the Dark Cycle the LORD God has decreed that those sons and daughters who strive diligently in the outpicturing of this Word have the protection of mighty angels of the LORD and the archangels and their archeiai so long as you keep the faith, the hope, and the charity - so long as you keep the vibration and the harmony and the desiring to be the wife, truly the Lamb's wife9 and the bride of the Bridegroom.
Thus, it is said of Mary, "She is the bride of the Holy Spirit." Thus, it may be said of you, beloved, that you have each day the call of the altar. And if you would take with you this music of the wedding march10 and if you would remember to listen to that music at the moment of temptation to turn aside in discord or inharmony or to become embroiled in those things that do not matter, it will go better for thee; for the Lord has said, "What is that to thee? Follow thou me."11 So, beloved, your Clara Louise,12 who was embodied as James, did oft repeat that very cry of the Lord Christ.
Leave off from the pettiness of frustration and the embroilment in the lower energies of those entities that move about. And understand, then, that in the playing of this music you may be reminded that your Bridegroom is waiting at the altar of the Holy Grail and you are the bride. And the music has begun, and now you must walk down the aisle to meet your Christ and your God.
Thus, the music itself, as the call from his heart, lifts you above all these things, sets you apart, where only the love tryst betwixt thy soul and him can cause you to respond. Your response is to him alone and not to all of the noises and sounds and burdens of the earth.
There is an hour for this communion and this divine union, beloved. Trust me, therefore, for the archeiai will send through this music to you the calming and the instantaneous sense of the reattunement. For this music does say:
"My Lord is waiting. I can no longer tarry in the pettiness of devils and men and circumstances and maya. I will enter in to oneness with my Lord. And as my Lord, I shall return, then, to this scene, once again to minister with Nada and Uriel and Aurora and the Elohim Peace and Aloha. Yes, I shall return in the path of the ruby ray. For in our oneness and our aloneness, I am healed. I am disassociated and disentangled from these entanglements of earth and karma and conditions I cannot see which yet frustrate me."
Beloved, there are keys, indeed. There are ways and means to guard yourself against stepping down from the poise of your centeredness in God. The holy music of the angels is one of these means. Heed, then, the call. For the music whose source is the Great Central Sun will carry you back to the Sun almost instantaneously as it passes the auditory nerve and enters a consciousness and awareness throughout every cell and atom and the body is charged with that light by the frequency of sound.
Consider, then, the source of that which you hear, whether music or conversation. And remember that sweet water and bitter do not proceed from the same fount.13 If you know that the source is bitter, do not drink from that fount. For the water will lead you to its source, and you will indeed be embittered until the violet flame does purge you of the bitterness of Death and Hell itself.
Now, beloved, I speak, then, of those things of the judgment that are coming in the earth - coming with such an accelerated pace as to cause you to wonder when will there be an end of happenings in this Dark Cycle. Let me explain, then, what is indeed happening. It is the Word itself, beloved, who is in the earth in this hour here and there and wherever you find Him/Her - the Divine Mother, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Understand, therefore, that each time the fallen ones and those evolutions who have spewed forth the Darkness that has created now the returning karma - each time they attempt to put upon the innocent that Darkness that they alone must bear, there is a thrusting back of it unto them from the presence of hearts of Light around the world, especially the hearts of the holy innocents.
And as they would heap upon them [the hearts of Light] the Darkness, so the Light returns it to them. This, of course, produces a mounting rage, a fury the likes of which have seldom been seen. It is the fury of the hellions who have nowhere to go, for the Light of the LORD's judgment does put back upon them that karma that they seek to thrust off.
Beloved, their intent to destroy all is so very great that were it not for the Law of the Cosmic Christ thrusting back unto them each attempt to put this world karma upon the Lightbearers, surely, surely, then, you would see the far greater calamity of world cataclysm already at hand.
Understand, therefore, that those who remain centered in God and remember the teaching of the rosary of Archangel Michael will find themselves in the presence of the LORD and the angel of the LORD on the LORD's day.14 This means that on the Day of Vengeance of our God of the judgment coming upon the seed of the wicked, you are found in the Electronic Presence of the archangels and their archeiai - sealed, then, as none other can be sealed. For neither armaments nor earthly fortresses nor rockets or spacecraft could provide you the complete protection that is yours when you dwell under the shadow of the Almighty.
This dwelling place, the secret place of the Most High God,15 is yours so long as you retain the vibration, so long as you are daily weaving the Deathless Solar Body, so long as you are increasing the aura of Light. In that frame of mind and consciousness, in that alignment with the Lord of the World, then you are safe in the designated place of the Inner Retreat. But unless you have the garment of Light, no place dedicated by the Brotherhood can protect you from your own out-of-alignment state.
Let these words be underscored, beloved. For those who expect a return from God must know that only they can determine that return by their own be-attitude and grace and graciousness and joy hour by hour in the service of the LORD.
Now, then, beloved, those who do not take up the Word itself and its defense, those who do not understand the equation of the true Teachings of Jesus Christ that have been lost must be apprised exactly what is this Church Universal and Triumphant - what is it all about. We are sixth-ray angels, and the dispensation of this Church of Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha comes as a Piscean dispensation in the sixth age - an age of the perfecting of the mastery of the solar plexus, the desire body channeling 100 percent of God-desire in the service of the Light.
Thus, institutions as well as the Church are intended to be founded upon the Rock of Christ-Reality, of the reality of the I AM Presence and Holy Christ Self of everyone who is the issue of God. This Teaching, then, is indeed the Everlasting Gospel preached by the angel who flies in the midst of heaven to deliver that Teaching.16
For in the hour of Jesus Christ's coming, the opportunity for Christhood was conveyed by example. And this Christed One did indeed bear the sins of the world, lo, these two thousand years, until the day and the hour when every man should sit beneath his own vine and fig tree17 - his own Holy Christ Self and I AM Presence - and know the LORD. And in that day it is prophesied that "they shall all know me," from those of the least karma unto the greatest karma.18
Thus, beloved, if you will understand that the Church Universal and Triumphant, prophesied as being the Church of glory in these times,19 is the vessel in which the Everlasting Gospel is deposited, you will see that it is ever so that those who have corrupted the old order and the dispensation which was theirs to fulfill and give to the nations become angry, as the nations are angry,20 when they are required to pass the torch and themselves enter the new dispensation. They are angry because they cannot enter that dispensation because they have not fulfilled the last.
They have not responded to the spiritual calling of Christ but only to the secular, only to that of the ritual without the Spirit, that which is of world socialism and society itself. They have not become the Christ; therefore they do not represent that Christ in his ongoing evolution at spiritual octaves of the Light that is ever expanding.
Yes, they have seen the Great Central Sun. But they know not what it is. I speak, then, of scientists and astronomers.21 They know not what they see, for they have not been taught of the Sun of righteousness.22
Hear, then, beloved. You have come to a church where the blazing sword of Christ is held in his hand as the defense of your right to be the incarnate Word, to fulfill all that Jesus did and more, because he promised it23 and it must be so - that each one can know the LORD himself through his own Christ Self and I AM Presence.
This does therefore obviate the necessity for human intercessors. Thus, you see, there is no longer a power position that can be held by the priests and rabbis and pastors. They are being bypassed and the Lightbearers exit their congregations. And it was the Lightbearers who provided the Light24 and Life of their churches.
Thus, beloved, they are left with those who have no God and they are angry. For in truth, most of those who have ministered without Christ have lived off of the Light of their flocks when the reverse should be the case and they should be a fount of Light and beauty to all.
Therefore, let those who enter this Church and follow this Path understand exactly what they are getting into. For this Mother's Day is a day when the Divine Mother comes with the LORD Christ, bearing her sword for the binding of the demons and the casting of the moneychangers out of the temple and the restoration of that true religion, which is surely to bind25 up the wounds of the brokenhearted26 and to defend the orphan and the widow.
Beloved, this pure religion before God27 can only live because you internalize the Word - because you become that religion, that Word, that Church, and where you are, there God is. Realize, then, that the mouthpiece, the orifice, of this Teaching will suffer persecution until the archangels have fulfilled the execution of the LORD's judgment in this era and day of the vengeance of our God. For the fallen angels may take their revenge and hurl back upon the Lightbearers this darkness of their abomination, but the LORD God Almighty through us does send unto them their binding in answer to the call of those in embodiment and in answer to the call of the very timetable of cosmic events.
Thus, beloved, it is for your protection that these things are coming upon the earth. And you may see how conditions are mitigated for [because of] the intercession of the Lightbearers. And you may see how where there is no intercession [through the fervent calls and dynamic decrees of Keepers of the Flame] there is more destruction, and where there is greater karma the intercession cannot be honored by the angels and the hosts of heaven.
Every call you give is adjudicated according to the will of God. When you have submitted yourself, even as the words of the calls do declare, to that will and to that Christ, the call of Light that you offer will only do the Word and Work of the LORD as the LORD himself does dictate.
Beloved, the more the fallen ones resist their accountability, the greater is the protection of the Lightbearers and the thrusting back upon them [the fallen ones] of their own wickedness. In this hour, then, of the raging of the heathen,28 take cover, beloved, in the secret place of the Most High. Value the gift of God and know that those who confess this Teaching, this Everlasting Gospel,and this association of hearts worldwide - they, then, are protected and their names are confessed by holy angels before the Father.29
If you desire to be a part of this Teaching, know that the only protection for you is to immerse yourself in that Teaching - to become it, to defend it, and to understand that the Lamb and his hosts and The Word of God, who is The Faithful and True, move with his armies.30 And in this day the armies of the LORD take up the sword of the Spirit to defend these little ones.
Those who are not willing to pay the price for the Lost Teachings of Jesus Christ that give to them discipleship unto the resurrection and the ascension ought not to begin this Path. For protection is unto the righteous - unto those who espouse the Word, defend it, and become it. This is the army of the LORD and the saints.
And therefore, I, Aurora, have come with a tender message of the Divine Mother. I am a Mother of millions and I do tend the little ones. Call me to your homes and you will know the peace-commanding presence of Uriel in the feminine ray for the resolution of many family and school problems that beset you. Our solutions, then, come unto those who dare to maintain the open circuit to our hearts.
We send Light and the defense of your little ones. Beloved, be protected in the Electronic Presence of the Ascended Master Jesus Christ, beloved Magda, and his angels.
We are the servants of God in you. And all who are with me this day are prepared to precipitate that miracle of God in answer to your call.
I seal you in the splendid awareness of far-off worlds whence you have descended as a respite to that which you find here. Remember it is for the testing of your souls and the LORD's rescue of those who know not the Way.
One day you shall be perfected in Love. In this day, so defend Love's sacred heart in her own and know the ministry of the sixth-ray angels.
O God, bless them. Bless them with the effulgence of the Mother Light.

This dictation by Archeia Aurora was delivered through the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 1986, at Camelot, Los Angeles County, California, USA. The Messenger's Mother's Day sermon on "Lanello's Commission to His Disciples" was taken from Matthew 10 (available to Keepers of the Flame on single cassette K86093).
"And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters. And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
As a result, Ukrainian dictionaries are being pored over throughout Russia - along with the relevant passage from the scriptures in Russian - by Soviet citizens who want to check that "Chernobyl" means wormwood in Ukrainian. "With the uncanny speed common to rumour in the Soviet Union, the discovery has spread across the Soviet land, contributing to the swelling body of lore that has shaped the public consciousness of the disaster at the Chernobyl atomic power plant in the Ukraine," the New York Times reported from Moscow.
Astrological Chart of the Chernobyl Disaster

From an astrological point of view, a variety of celestial influences combined to trigger the worst power disaster in history. The chart of the Chernobyl disaster (April 26, 1986, 1:23 a.m., 51 16' north latitude, 30 14' east longitude) shows four configurations which were significant, the most important being a nearly exact opposition (a 180 angle) between the planet Pluto at 6 Scorpio in the tenth house near the zenith and the Sun at 5 Taurus in the fourth house.
Pluto's influence is often highly destructive. It rules the radioactive element plutonium, which, according to distinguished astrologer Lt. Comdr. David Williams (ret.), is produced for military purposes in many of the USSR's nuclear reactors. In mundane astrology - the astrology of nations and world events - Pluto rules nuclear power, fires, anything involving widespread death and destruction, and waste disposal. Pluto is often associated with cataclysmic events, such as the onset of wars and the fall and/or death of rulers. It rules all things secretive and the instinct for self-destruction.
Falling in the tenth house, which rules the government, the ruling class - in this case the party, particularly the General Secretary, Michael Gorbachev - national prestige, and how the nation is viewed by its neighbors, Pluto signified negative international reaction to the Soviet's handling of the crisis. At the time of the accident, the Sun was in Taurus in the fourth house. As the tenth house rules the government, so the Sun rules the leaders. But since the Sun also rules nuclear contamination, once again the Soviet leadership was associated with the nuclear disaster.
Furthermore, one of the negative qualities of Taurus is stubbornness; when the disaster began, the Soviet leadership dug in its heels and kept it secret (Pluto in Scorpio) until international detection of radioactive wastes compelled them to reveal there had been an accident. The fourth house rules the area in and around the place where an event occurs - lands, buildings, crops, and produce - and in mundane astrology, the people of a nation.
Discussing the interaction of the two planets, David Williams says that Pluto "in the violent water sign Scorpio indicates ruptures and bursting in the water cooling system of the nuclear reactor. ... The Sun, representing the Chernobyl power plant, was in Taurus in the fourth house of the people. Under normal conditions, this position would have been of benefit to the people; but at the time of the accident, it was not, for the Sun was in opposition to destructive Pluto. Therefore, the people, the land, the environment around the plant suffered from the radiation thrown into the atmosphere by Pluto. That the cost of the accident would be very great is indicated by the Sun in the money sign Taurus conjunct the Moon's North Node in the fourth house" (Horoscope, 10/86).
The second important configuration was the semisquare (a 45 angle) of Uranus at 22 Sagittarius in the twelfth house conjoined the ascendant to Pluto and its sesquiquadrate (a 135 angle) to the Sun. The Pluto-Sun opposition indicated what would take place, but this would not necessarily trip off an accident. Uranus, however, governs sudden, often violent accidents, explosions, the unknown and unpredictable, electricity, uranium, and radiation sickness.
The unpredictable influences of Uranus combined with Pluto (plutonium, fires, nuclear accidents, widespread death and destruction) in the tenth house of public standing (the Soviet reputation suffered) and the influence of both planets combined with the Sun showed the possibility of a powerful explosion that would be highly destructive to the plant and people in and around the plant. In fact, the astrological influences brought into focus by this configuration resulted in an explosion that destroyed reactor No. 4 at Chernobyl, blew the roof off the building and, according to Science News (8/30/86), "started at least 30 individual fires and ultimately release about 3.5 percent of the radioactive material in the reactor."
Two other configurations had a bearing on the accident: Saturn 8 Sagittarius in the twelfth house square to Jupiter 14 Pisces in the second house is related to accidents and disruption and/or restrictions of the water supply in the reactor for reasons that are not immediately apparent or easily understood; Neptune 5 Capricorn conjoined Mars 13 Capricorn in the first house square Mercury 10 Aries in the third house is related to violent energy and accidents involving water, steam, gases, and bad communications.
Above and beyond these influences, there are two astrological phenomena which explain the timing of the event; an eclipse of the Moon at 4 Scorpio tightly conjoined Pluto at 6 Scorpio, which took place on April 24, 1986, about 33 hours before the event, and the rotation of Uranus into other twelfth house on the day of the accident once the sequence of events that reportedly caused the accident was set in motion.
Eclipses are critical determines of events in mundane astrology. There are differences of opinion about the influence of eclipses - certainly not all are negative - and the timing of events that proceed from them. Sometimes it takes months for the events to manifest. But since this eclipse fell so close to Pluto, (1) Pluto became the ruler of the eclipse, which then carried the destructive nature of Pluto in Scorpio, including its relation to unfortunate occurrences related to nuclear energy, and (2) the accident happened very quickly.
The power of this particular eclipse was so great that astro-economist Arch Crawford wrote in his April '86 issue of the Crawford Perspective that April 24th would be a day of high stress. "If you don't FEEL this one," he wrote referring to the lunar eclipse, "you're probably not ALIVE." (Since eclipses are known to "eclipse" those in power, it will be worth noting whether this one diminishes the power of the Communist Party of the USSR or its leader, Michael Gorbachev.)
The Second Indicator for the timing of the accident was the movement of Uranus into the twelfth house. The twelfth house rules those thing which are secret, wholly or partly hidden, deception and self-deception, plagues and epidemics (in this case, widespread radiation contamination), conditions that are inimical to public welfare, and hospitals. It is the house most associated with karma and karmic circumstances.
In order to bring the influences of Uranus into sharp relief, let us review the sequence of events revealed by the Soviet Union in their report to the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Soviets claimed the disaster occurred as a result of a safety test in which plant operators were trying to find out how long reactor No. 4's turbines would continue to function in the event of an unplanned shutdown. This led, according to Andronik M. Petrosyants, chairman of the Soviet Committee for the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, to "a whole series of gross violations of operating regulations by the workers," who deliberately disabled the plant's multiple safety and warning systems, leaving them helpless to contain the problem once the experiment got out of hand.
Although the explosion took place at 1:23 a.m. April 26, the events that led to the catastrophe began at 1:00 a.m. the previous day, just 8 hours and 40 minutes after the eclipse - about the time Uranus entered the twelfth house forming a semisquare to Pluto and a sesquiquadrate to the Sun and activated the unpredictable cycle of events represented by the overall astrological pattern, particularly the eclipse on Pluto. According to the Soviet report, in the next 24 hours the plant operators took the multiple steps that set the stage for the explosion. The cycle initiated by the eclipse on Pluto was in motion waiting for the point of release. Just moments after Uranus, the planet of explosions and unpredictable events, made one complete revolution of the chart (24 hours) and crossed the ascendant (a particularly powerful point) into the twelfth house (karma, hospitals, hidden causes, etc.), a massive steam explosion tore the plant apart.
Several fixed stars were conjoined the planets whose influences were relevant to the disaster. The interpretation of fixed stars, which derives from the ancient literature, is subject to debate and, in many cases, is in need of further study. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that according to Vivian Robson (The Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology), the fixed star Khambalia, located at 6 Scorpio - conjoined Pluto and the lunar eclipse - "causes swift violence, unreliability, and an argumentative nature" - an apt description of the accident and the Soviet method of handling relations with the world community thereafter.
Furthermore , according to Robson, Rasalhague (21 Sagittarius conjoined Uranus) causes "sudden death"; Lesath (23 Sagittarius conjoined Uranus) "gives danger, desperation, immorality and malevolence, and is connected with acid poisons [radioactivity?]"; Hamal (6 Taurus conjoined the Sun) causes "violence" and "disgrace"; Han (8 Sagittarius conjoined Saturn) "brings trouble and disgrace", Facies (7 Capricorn conjoined Neptune) "causes blindness, defective sight; sickness, accidents, and a violent death"; and Manubrium (14 Capricorn conjoined Mars) "causes blindness, explosions, fire, flaring heat, heroism, courage and defiance." The references to blindness and defective sight must surely be appropriate if indeed the plant operators took actions described by the Soviets in their report.
From an astrological point of view, there is little reason to doubt that operator error could have played a part in the tragedy as the Soviets have reported. Mercury square to Mats and Neptune from the third house to the first house shows that there could have been confused and muddled thinking and bizarre problems. But is also shows that the communications by the Soviets after the fact were deceptive - they refused to acknowledge the accident when pressed by foreign governments (as also indicated by the Pluto-Sun opposition) - and may continue to be deceptive about both the causes and effects of the disaster.
Saturn afflicted in the twelfth house (supported by the Pluto-Sun opposition from the tenth to the fourth houses) indicates that the highest Soviet governmental authorities, plant design, and rules for governing the plant and the soviet nuclear industry were intimately involved in the events that led to the accident. Indeed, this aspect strongly suggests that the Communist Party has hidden facts which would be embarrassing, were they known, and/or could undermine their authority.
Even though the Soviets emphasized "gross" human error by the plant operators, the scenario they outlined was as Newsweek (9/1/86) put it, "an almost unbelievable story." Furthermore, the Soviets glossed over the fact that they do not use containment buildings and insisted their design were safe. On this last point some American experts disagree. According to Roger Huston of the Atomic Industrial Forum, had No. 4 been designed as reactors are designed in most of the rest of the world, "even with all the things that were done by operator, the reactor would not have been destroyed."
As for the effects, at this point there is considerable debate about the ultimate health consequences. "The fallout may eventually cause 24,000 cancer deaths, according to calculations in the Soviet report" (Science News, 8/30/86), although there are experts who favor higher and lower figures. In general, because of the combined twelfth-house, Pluto/Scorpio influence, it is likely that some dangers and consequences may be underreported and/or completely suppressed.
The prominent Sagittarius influences is a primary indicator of the international character of the disaster. To date, there are reports of the contamination by radioactive iodine and cesium of the fields, forests, marshes and lakes in Sweden and contamination of food supplies in Norway and Sweden - especially of fish, berries, sheep and reindeer, which are an important part of the diet in the region. In Norway, researchers fear mass deaths of reindeer in the next 2 or 3 years from accumulated radiation. In France, there are reports of significant levels of radioactive cesium in goat cheeses. Meaningful reports have yet to emerge from Eastern Europe, where political pressure from the Soviet Union no doubt has had a chilling effect.
Although the accident happened suddenly, Saturn in the twelfth house, aspected as it is, show the problem had been building for some time, was institutional in nature, related to the highest governmental authorities in the USSR, and related to the rules for the Chernobyl power plant and Soviet nuclear power industry. It also shows the effects of the disaster will be long lasting and that we do not have all the facts about the cause or consequences of the accident.
