Light of my heart, O chela of the flame, did you think that I would not come here to claim you as my own? Did you think that I would leave you all alone this eve, this wondrous eve of a new year and a new flame? Why, I have come to take you to my heart, to toss you as a tiny babe and hold you as my own.
I AM, therefore, Father in the earth this night - not Father Time, but Father Eternity. And I woo my children of eternity with great joy, for truly the "Ode to Joy," as has been said, is the "Ode to Freedom."
Dear hearts gathered in hope and love, some in the simplicity and wonder of a miracle at hand and some probing deeply the complexities and profundities, if you will, of a cosmos that has suddenly taken on the dimensions of the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood - think of yourself, precious hearts, a newborn babe of the new year, a newborn babe on the path of initiation.
Suddenly, the void is filled not only with stars but with beings of light, the warmth of love, consciousness, the feeling of being known and recognized by so many friends in so many octaves! And suddenly, no longer the vacant cathedral stripped of the saints, devoid of angels, but now the vaulted sky does present chorusing the hierarchy of light and spiral staircases and etheric cities and castles and retreats and all those things one can imagine in one's dreams as a child of a fairyland that perhaps exists only in the heart but, for children, truly lies somewhere beyond the rainbow.
Yes, I AM Gautama. And now to all living in this time zone and to a planetary home, I say: Welcome, 1984! Welcome, chelas of the will of God! Happy New Year to all, and to all a good, good year!
Blessed ones, I would also say to 1984: And we are ready for you! Are you ready for us?
I would say, precious hearts, that the forces at play that consider themselves unleashed for a certain madness in this year are not at all ready for us. They are not ready, nor have they contemplated or even begun to estimate the science of the spoken Word or those who wield it. After all, they did not think much of the fishermen and those who followed Him. They did not imagine that they would light a spark to change a world. Do not think their estimate of you is any greater.
Therein lies their folly, and therein lies our advance. For we move on - an army of light, whom most expect to retreat. Yet we never retreat, we never turn back, we never say die! For the chelas of the Buddha, of the internalization of the Word, are practical men and women of action, practical men and women who understand the meaning of life - its joys, its homilies, its sweetness. Those who pursue the path of the Buddha know the sorrow of surrender and the joy of the return when the initiation is passed.
O my fellow loved ones, I have been present for many cycles turning in your lives. And truly this new year is one of movement for many; and it is a turning of cycles unexpectedly. And therefore we, too, have held surprises in our hearts and much in store. And we are gratified, as you are, at the joyous miracle of the gift from the heart of truly a friend of light to The Summit Lighthouse as the "place prepared" in Livingston, Montana.
This thirty-acre-tract industrial park, beloved hearts, recalls to me also the prophecy of another prophet who once said that Livingston, Montana, should become the breadbasket of the world. Now isn't that so very nice that you have a piece of that land as the very sign of the coming of the fulfillment of at least one if not a hundred prophecies that have also gone forth from the Royal Teton Retreat?
Precious ones, we have said - one with the Darjeeling Council and one with the chief El Morya - that we will not set back the cycles one hour. We will not accept delay. We will have our victory on time and ahead of time, by the grace of our chelas and in spite of our enemies.
Blessed hearts, let all be blessed. For, in fact, there are no enemies, for we befriend all and take all to our heart. But of those who consider themselves to be enemies and have vowed so to be, I say, they are not enemies at all, for the LORD shall have them - he shall have them one way or the other. And unfortunately, their use of free will does also eliminate their own identity, as they identify themselves as enemies of God; for who can stand and survive in that mode?
But surely God himself does stand in the day of the appearing of all who misunderstand or will not understand. For they also must fulfill their own mandates, and we must fulfill our own - our time, our space, our Buddhahood, our Motherhood, our Fatherhood, our Childhood. Yes, we must play our roles - and you also within us and we within you.
The nearest, dearest hearts of the threefold flame of Shamballa are those who understand the meaning of love and sharing heart-to-heart. Here the angels gather. Angels of the Buddha, you know, are great tutors of the soul on the path of initiation. I bid you welcome my angels, as my angels also have preceded you to that park, blessed hearts - to that industrial park. For there, they also gather to celebrate. There is a great rejoicing, and thus secrets held in heaven, revealed to only a few, now unfurl to many hosts and elementals such a design and such a calling!
This particular manifestation of sufficient space to house many Buddhas and sufficient time for the coil of the Mother to be unfurled does therefore catapult this activity by many years into its proper and proposed advancement. Thus you may understand that the days are shortened for the elect,1 as has been told by Jesus and again and again by our messengers. It is the absolute conviction in our heart and in the heart of our sons and daughters that the cycles shall be accelerated and the days shortened that can bring to pass such a miracle as a million-dollar gift, as this. Therefore, beloved ones, listen and learn and claim the mantra, the miracle mantra, as your own. And claim the miracle of your life as proof that what is good for the organization is also good for you in many ways, for the same science does work. And by the example of the chohans and their chelas, by the example of the messenger, you may pace your heart, you may pace your footstep, and you may know that her footstep is now indeed in pace with my own. Therefore, the snowy white substance does hold a flame of fire, a crystal mist, and a pathway to the sun.
We also weary in waiting and waiting and waiting for an ignorance to be converted to wisdom when that ignorance will never be converted. Indeed, it must be displaced and replaced by wisdom's son who finally and fully must challenge that anti-self and then run, run with the torch of the century and the age.
We are the builders and builders in form of form, and we summon our builders. And those who would enter the house of Buddha, which is the house of Taurus, must leave behind their stubbornness, their separatist ways, and their indulgence and indifferent consciousness. Those who would enter four-by-four and the mighty square of life must learn to understand what is the sangha2 of the Buddha - what is the community of light and what it is for and why it does appear in the sky as the sign appearing of far-off worlds: the sangha of the Buddha.
Now see yourselves all levitated, fair and sweet with me in the heart of the Royal Teton, weightless in this hour and awaiting the descent of the Divine Mother. Now understand the sangha is for the descent and the ascent of the Mother flame within you.
Therefore, beloved hearts of light, think therefore of the seed atom at the base-of-the-spine chakra. You think of the ascending Kundalini, but I think of the descending light of the Mighty I AM Presence that first did descend to plant the seed. And there-fore, the rising Kundalini was first the descending Kundalini. And that which does descend from the Mighty I AM Presence must ascend.
Let therefore the Mother flame rise in you, and you also will rise. Let your star appear! And let your grief, contrived by resistance to the heart of the One, now be dispelled. And let your fear inordinate, dwelling in dark corners of the recesses of the mind, come out. For I, Gautama, am here. I am with you and I draw my solar ring around my sangha of disciples. And all who are my disciples truly in word and deed, in act and love, receive now the completion of the circle of fire with my own heart.
herefore, no names will be named to be included or excluded, for the number and the sign of the disciple is the internal Word and its internalization by the I AM. I understand who you are. Let those who understand who I AM prove it therefore by being as I AM.
You may be like me without fear. I am not some sort of mummy or cement statue, sterile and silent! I move among the children of life, and I am determined to fight a fairly good fight for the victory of the Light in this nation and India and in Russia and in every nation. For I have hearts planted everywhere - and they are not sleepers, but they are awake! For they have heard my call and they have bestirred themselves. And they know my voice, they know my message.
And you would be amazed to understand the path of the Buddha in this hour. For the ancient texts do not reflect the ongoing manifestation of my own Law of the One, for I AM WHO I AM. Let none confine me then! Let none box and package me into some sort of texts that are not necessarily the full expression of all that I AM.
The seed atom in the base of the spine chakra, beloved hearts, does contain the seed of my own life and victory and overcoming. For to each one, God gave a single seed that the flower of the Mother might appear.
Dear hearts, we are very much a part of the halls of government and of those who rule this world. We are very much there and very much exacting in this hour the honesty and the truth that does clarify to all people this way or that way. ...
Blessed hearts of light, I commend you to communion with Kuan Yin through the mantras of Kuan Yin. For these very sacred mantras do give to you an understanding of the inner heart of that lady master who does embody the personality and person of the Avalokites,vara Buddha, the Amitabha Buddha, the light of my own heart. These are vested in Kuan Yin.
In this year therefore that is to come, a bumpy road ahead will signify initiations that the lightbearers are capable of passing. You will encounter also Lord Lanto, who figures in a very important role as teacher, as past hierarch of the Royal Teton, and now the one who does keep the flame for that hierarch Lord Confucius. Therefore, Lord Lanto, as the sponsor of the retreat and great cosmic teacher, will take an active role with me in summoning before the inner eye of the soul of the people of America what is the real image of the leader, the shepherd, the ministering servant who ought to be the one who does hold office.
Blessed hearts, I would point to you the role of the spouses of the holders of public office, especially the wives who must stand by and support their husbands who become public servants. In recent years, not a few but all too many wives have uttered their selfish complaints at "being a nobody." Some have actually developed addictions, chemical dependencies. Some have even divorced their husbands on the claim that their husbands no longer had time for them.
Precious hearts of living flame, this manifestation of selfishness is a betrayal, an absolute betrayal of this nation, this government, and of the freedom to elect representatives in service. I can tell you the admiration of the whole world would have been upon these women had they espoused the cause of becoming ministering servants, ministering to those areas of life of such crying need, such as drug abuse, child molesting, pornography, alcohol usage by young people - so many causes involving the poor, the aged, the retarded, special groups who require special attention and a mother's heart. I reference not a token manifestation for photographers and for newspapers but a twenty-four-hour dedication that does match and complement the public office of the husband.
I call upon women of faith and understanding to keep the flame of home and hearth and family and also to be concerned simultaneously with the larger circle of community - to raise your children unselfishly and not to attempt to give them all those things which you did not have and therefore to spoil them and to make them ill-equipped to confer with me and with Lord Lanto on their inner path of initiation.
I am deeply concerned that you do not realize that that which you have been deprived of has been the very spur and the very action to cause your search and your own selflessness. Now why, therefore, heap upon your children indulgences when it is the very austerity of life in some areas that gives space for the child to contemplate the inner life and the inner being?
If you surround your children with too many things, too many points of entertainment and diversion, when will they ever go within? You will make materialists of them instead of devotees ready for the rigorous path of the ascension.
Let the children of light therefore engage their hearts in recognizing not only the needs of the poor but the needs of this very community and join in service from a young age - not, of course, being deprived of the circle of the family as a necessary going within to the white fire core of being.
I observe these things because I am very observant. I observe by the contact of my flame through the thread-contact to the threefold flame of your heart - sustaining it until you pass from the seat-of-the-soul chakra to the very heart of hearts and you are able by attainment to sustain that flame yourself burning in this octave.
Did anyone here ever recall himself igniting his own threefold flame at birth? Has anyone here ever remembered tending the fire or keeping it burning? Beloved hearts, recognize that acts of love and valor and honor and selflessness surely contribute to this flame. But a higher power and a higher source does keep that flame until you yourself are one with that higher power - your own Christ Self.
Therefore, all receive the boost of my heart flame and impetus. And as that light passes through me from the Godhead, I, therefore, perceive many things that you might think beyond mention or notice of a Lord of the World who must be, indeed, very busy. Well, indeed, I am! But I am never too busy to notice the elements of the Path presented by parents and in families and communities and in the schoolrooms of life everywhere. For I make it my business to see to it that some element of the path of initiation, moving toward the heart of Jesus and Maitreya, is a part of the life of every growing child.
And you can consider, rather than seeing yourselves as deprived or hurt or being put upon or mistreated, that the Lord of the World himself deemed necessary, according to your own karma and previous indulgences, that you should experience something of the hardships of life and hard work at an early age and something of other personalities perhaps of a selfish, indulgent nature whereby you might learn both what not to be and what to be.
Thus, do not pray vainly to have such records erased from you. It has been a good schoolroom and a good education, and you are far along the way for that which has been trial and adversity and perhaps pain here and there. After all, you must have a little pain in life to understand how that soul in Burma this night, who is upon his bed in utter pain, must feel and, in knowing how that one feels, knowing also that you must set yourself apart to pray and give for that one and to sacrifice a little that in his next life he might be born in that place in the sun which we call the Western Shamballa.
I AM the Lord of the World. And I see centuries before me. And I already have plans for those who are suffering on beds of pain in this hour and who will not see through the year 1984. They will make the transition and they will be taken to the Royal Teton Retreat and there they will be prepared. These are lightbearers who have borne a difficult life and a very arduous and painful process for their transition, all because they have chosen to seek "a better resurrection"3 and to enter into life with less karma and a greater opportunity to serve.
Let us rid ourselves of the notions of an indulgent West and realize that this nation was not built on indulgence or indulgences paid for to the Church, but it was built upon hard work - those of proud and determined spirits who took the path of initiation and went west to discover the new space of the Buddha that one day you would call your own. ...
Welcome to my heart, precious ones, near and far on this campus and around the world. Welcome to my heart, for I have known you long, long ago. And I enter now your heart as I draw you to the heart of this messenger. For many rings of light will be formed round my lightbearer in this year, many rings of light on which shall be perched many practical men and women who understand the politics of the day - understanding the playing of power and the playing with people's souls and with their hearts and minds.
The people of this world are not as foolish as the power elite may think. They are not as foolish as the high-handed take them for. And one of these days, those whom they have mistakenly called fool will rise up to pull the rug out from under them, and they will not quite understand what has happened to their empires.
We are not empire builders. We internalize the kingdom of God! And we are for the building of the necessary facilities whereby the magnets of hearts united might change a world.
Now I have spoken sufficiently into the night and into the new day, and your hearts will converse with me in these hours at the Royal Teton Retreat where Lanto and Confucius do present their program for your action and your edification in this year.
Many bright faces in China would love to be where you are - some in the etheric octave and some in embodiment. Theirs is an ancient school that does not admit so readily by the path of the Judeo-Christian tradition an understanding of the ascended masters' teachings, but they come via the way of the Lady Kuan Yin. May you meet them halfway by beginning to recite her mantras.
The angel of Sanat Kumara does deliver to me the scroll, the scroll of the thoughtform for the year 1984. [pause]
As I open the scroll, I see before me a rendering of the Lady Kuan Yin. And in her grace, she is portrayed with a scroll in her right hand tied with that violet ribbon. And the scroll is symbolically the one that becomes the many, one for each child of the sun on earth, that in some hour of this year 1984 shall be delivered to the heart and the soul in the etheric octave of the child of the sun.
Each and every child of the sun on earth shall receive this scroll. The scroll contains the life record since the first incarnation in Mater. It does contain the debit and credit side of the ledger. It does contain a list of that which must be balanced, which must be paid, and that which is, as it were, money in the bank of the causal body as light that has ascended to heaven on account. It shows the karma remaining, that which is to be balanced, the dharma to be fulfilled, and does mark the projected hour and designated time of that one's fulfillment of courses of incarnations to the moment of the ascension in the light.
Beloved ones, not only does this come as a dispensation of Alpha and Omega and the Four and Twenty Elders, but it does come from the heart of Sanat Kumara who gave leave to the Lady Kuan Yin to make this promise long, long ago to the children of the sun. It is the promise of a bodhisattva that ere her work should be completed, she should find each one and deliver the Law's own mandate for the fulfillment of Love's victory.
Therefore understand, beloved hearts, that finally there is an engram, as some would see it, like a Chinese character. But this is an engram that represents the individual's personal formula for the victory of love. It is a yantra.4 It is a mantra. It is a focus of light that can be assimilated and used by each child of the heart of Kuan Yin, each child of the Sun Mother.
Blessed ones, this formula and this engram of light will be internalized by you as you give the mantras of Kuan Yin. May the blessed one be remembered and revered, for the heart of Kuan Yin is the open door to love - and to love and to love.
Thus, the sponsor of the family and of children, protectress of all who venture forth in samsara to cross the mighty sea of life and to arrive at the distant shore - by this divine office she has come to be known as the protectress of sailors who have seen her at sea and pray in her blessed name in time of calamity or storm. Beloved ones, many have been saved and many have seen her blessed face, not realizing that her saving has been for the larger passage of the soul itself to eternal life.
Therefore, it has been with great joy that the Lords of Karma have sent their representative to Summit University this very winter quarter 1984 to be with beloved El Morya as co-director and sponsor of that quarter. In this way, the Lord of the First Ray is determined to bring into alignment all chelas of this entire movement, all who will to be chelas, and all who are serious on the Path and understand that their alignment counts as everything for the planet, for the Inner Retreat, and for the transition into a new age, a new year, a new century and dimension.
Complementing, therefore, the fiery work of Morya (and you can expect a demand and a sternness by the one who knows also the timetable of your life on earth), there will be the precious presence of Kuan Yin and her Mother light and her portrayal of karmic cycles and being the burden-bearer of world karma as a bodhisattva and pledging to remain with earth and her evolutions until the last one who is to ascend does ascend by free will.
Such a complement is a rare gift indeed, beloved ones: the chohan being the one so close to your soul and heart that does care for your advancement; Kuan Yin as a cosmic being, and the vision that she bears not alone for your discipleship but discipleship as the means to the end, the end being world service.
Remember, blessed hearts: though your ascension be signed by yourself and by God, you may be a bodhisattva tarrying with the evolutions of earth until all are home free. Thus, you need not forsake your vow to teach the children, for many precious hearts at the etheric octave are waiting to be God-taught. And they must needs have your presence either for a final incarnation or to ascend from that level. There are lifewaves and evolutions in every plane of Matter. And then, of course, as an ascended being, you can minister closely to physical life and those embodied here.
I counsel every father to learn one skill of the hand that he may pass on to his son or to the sons of the community - one ability to do something physical and practical as a handiwork, a noble work, the work of the builder, the work of the artist, the work of the scientist, the work of the surveyor, the plumber, the carpenter. All of these give the balance to the children - heart, head, and hand. Children must develop self-esteem in the abilities of these three.
Now, what do you think of teachers who themselves are heartless and have not the Holy Spirit? They use neither heart nor hand, thus train only the intellect and consider those intellectually trained, educated. This is not education. For the intellect itself is but a piece (and a fragmentary piece at that) of the universal Mind of God omnipresent. Heart, head, and hand, therefore, means truly the Mind of Christ, the Heart of Christ, the Hand of Christ.
Let us not bring up animals. Let us not rear robots. Let us have children joyfully, fully understanding that the outer development of the four lower bodies is always to key the inner heart and the inner self and to unite the inner expression with the outer - to ignite the flame in the bowl, to bring that union of the inner self into full cosmic integration with these vehicles, that we might see walking the earth truly children of the heart of the living Word.
Let us get on now and understand that one must successfully bring forth and rear the children of one's karma and prove oneself victoriously overcoming one's own karma to be granted the gift of souls of light solid on the Path of the Sun. Let us replace all fancy and fanciful musings in every area of life with fact, with reality, with what is practical.
You would think that people dealing in the concrete would be much more practical than angels and members of the heavenly host, but, I tell you, often the reverse is true. We are far more practical than those of you who must deal in the concrete levels.
Thus, learn of us, for too much has been said and done about otherworldliness and not enough about this worldliness. And those who become worldly slip into materialism, leave off their spiritual striving and spirituality. And therefore, though they think themselves to be more practical than our chelas, they themselves are highly impractical, having not truly the first building blocks of the internalization of a spirituality that does contact God.
Let us not be called religious, let us be called spiritual. And let not your religion be superstition where you now invoke Astrea or Archangel Michael, when in your previous embodiment you invoked the witch doctors and the priests that were deceiving you all the while! Do not be dependent upon formulas and figments of your imagination.
If you are going to decree with Astrea and through Astrea and in Astrea, then have a sense of the sacredness of the ritual and not a vain repetition; and realize that you are dealing with a cosmic being, an Elohim5 of God, and you stand in the Presence of God and the power is stupendous. Therefore, do not misuse the light or seek to get even in a human way - with resentment - with your enemies.
Beloved ones, all prayer must be an act of holiness and dedication. You can be holy in the midst of a traffic jam, if you develop a momentum on holiness rather than religiosity.
Yes, I am much more concerned with a spiritual fire than a religion based on fear. Do you come to the masters because you fear the future or calamity and because you think the messenger will save you from all of this? No man can save you from your fear! You must quench it with fire, a fire you invoke and implore from heaven's altars.
Be thrifty with your life. Be thrifty, beloved hearts, for life ought not to be allowed to flow on the ground as water spilled. Life is precious. It is a living flame. Therefore, mind your heart as you mind your business, and neglect not the fire of the heart, even as you neglect not the counting of your money.
Dear ones, men and women of the Spirit are efficient and the most practical of all who inhabit the planet. They are survivors, naturalists. They know the heights of the mountains and the depths of the valleys, and they know God.
Be still, therefore, and know that I AM God. For I have long ago internalized the God flame for earth and her evolutions and more. You can do the same. You can do exactly the same as I have done. Do not skip a step. Do not fancy yourself more advanced or less advanced than you are. Do not mistake your carnal mind for your Christ Self, or your astral body and its illusions for the visions of the Most High.
Therefore, keep the watch. Walk as a child holding on to the sides of the playpen. Hold on to the Law and the teaching. Read and reread it. Apply it! Hold on and use it, and do not seek random motion or free-floating or skydiving until you have taken the appropriate lessons from the angels. Do not plummet to your mortal death, thinking you have become a god.
You think I am in the abstract? It happens quite often, beloved hearts, that the daredevils do just this. They dive in the sky with all kinds of contraptions, thinking they are gods. They have thought this ever since they fell from the skies as fallen angels.
Thus I tell you: imitate not their ways, mentally or on the Path. Be not a gambler or a joker! But be in Truth the calm, the balanced, the strong, the wise, the tender, the very precious ministering servant.
I love you and I will see you in the Heart of the Inner Retreat. For if you are not there physically, I will anchor the image of your Christ Self and your soul in that Heart. This is not a replacement for your presence or your striving to be present there. It is only my expression of my love for you, that you understand that this is how the Lord of the World does keep the flame for you. I see you where you ought to be always; and sometimes that image tarries long until you enter and fill that place prepared. Yet I sustain it, for it is my job.
I love my job. I love my work. See that you do also, for I do not like to hear and feel the strident vibrations of those who work in dislike of their work. It is a sacrilege, for all work is holy and is the holiness of God. Nothing is rote. Nothing is drudgery. Every act is an opportunity to be God. And if you do not make each act so, you will find yourself skipping too many cycles to be at the right place at the right time in eternity.
Yes, eternity has segments you might call time. Cycles are gifts of God. I give to you the cycle of 1984. I give it to you in my hands, cupped for a victory of love and a path of the practical Christ. I seal you in the protection of the Great Law as it is allowed and ordained. I receive your communique,s and letters, and with the Lords of Karma we will deliver our answer.
I bow before the Light in you. And for all you have increased this year, I offer you a special prize. It is a prize of light for exactly the amount of light you have added to your aura and flame and chakras since last New Year's Eve. And this goes for those who knew not of the teachings last New Year's Eve, for you also have been striving, though perhaps you knew it not.
Thus, beloved ones, there is no prize for those who do not have the increase. This is not a prize for a level of attainment. It is a prize for progress, progress measured against your own standard. Each and every new year at inner levels, expect me to match your own in the way the Law has defined it. ... [The messenger lifts small statue from the Altar of Invocation.]
I seal this image of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, that you might understand your threefold flame as the triune manifestation of the personality of the Godhead. I seal this image that you might understand there is a mystery in this image. And this particular Hindu thoughtform is the way of the Ancient of Days depicting the image of a trinity that has behind it and in store for you far more than meets the eye. Thus I seal you in the mystery of the Holy Trinity - yours to ponder, yours to discover.
I am in the heart of the heart of my living Guru, Sanat Kumara. I go to him now. May I take with me your greeting? ["Yes!"] Thus it would please me if you would sing to the Lord Sanat Kumara and remember in your singing the oppressed peoples of earth yet to be liberated through your heart and mine.
To a year of service together, I dedicate you to the path of Maitreya, Kuan Yin, El Morya, and the Mother. sangha [Sanskrit]: Buddhist religious community or monastic order. yantra [Sanskrit]: geometrical diagram used in meditation upon a deity (primarily in tantric worship).

I demand a miracle in every level of the chakras of my being and in the five secret rays!
I demand the miracle light of the Eternal Christos, the Sacred Heart of
Jesus, and the full power of the Ascended Master John the Beloved:
