Children Who Love the LORD Thy God as One God and Thy Neighbour as Thy True Self:
Have you ever considered that the first and great commandment and the second were pronounced by the Lord Christ in answer to a question put to him by one of the scribes gathered together with the Pharisees in which they were again tempting him, saying, "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?"1
It is then that he pronounced the covenant of the great love flame, "the flame of the ark of the covenant" - that cloven tongue of fire2 - whereby souls born out of the love of the Father-Mother God receive that arc descending and return that thrust of love as the arc ascending, thereby completing the ritual of wholeness as a holiness that begins and ends in the twin flames of the one God:
"The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God is one LORD;
"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
"And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."3
The Pharisees were hung up on the law, and therefore they were hung by it. They are silenced by his statement in the Person and in the Principle of the Law of Love, for it is the one law of Alpha and Omega which they cannot fulfill. They sought to trap him in their own manipulation of the law, thinking then to dispute with him and to demand by what or whose authority he spoke.4 But he confounded them, speaking to them in the language of the law of Moses:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD (Hebrew YHVH, from the verb "to be," the I AM THAT I AM) our God (Hebrew Elohim, plural of El or Eloah, meaning "Mighty One") is one LORD - is one I AM Presence manifest to the soul in the Christ Self. This one God is the Father (whose Being self-contains its own polarity, or counterpart, the Mother, hence the use of the plural noun) who reveals himself to you in the Person of the Son even as the Son will reveal himself to you in the Person of the Holy Ghost.
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God (Greek Kurios `Lord' and Theos `God' translated as "the Lord the God of thee") - i.e., the Christ Self whose descent is from the I AM THAT I AM of thee - with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.5
But thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself (as thy true self which is thy Christ Self): I AM the LORD - I AM thy God through thy Christ Self. I AM thy true self. I AM thy Word. I AM WHO I AM and I AM manifest in the plane of action as the Mediator between thy heaven and thy earth.6
Jesus the Christed One was the fulfillment of the law and the prophets,7 the Law of Love which the messengers of the LORD had stated again and again to the very ones whom Saint Stephen named as the "stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears." Of these same Pharisees who murdered Jesus Christ and would also murder his disciple, Stephen thundered:
"Ye do always resist the Holy Ghost; as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers; who have received the law by the disposition of angels (ascended masters) and have not kept it."8
And so Jesus taught them by example that Love - God's love manifest from the Divine Us as male and female in the incarnation of his sons and daughters - was the fulfilling of the law.9 They themselves had not received that love as the communication of the Word or as the leaping of the sacred fire of the Holy Ghost from the succession of patriarchs and prophets unto their own hearts' altars: they received not the flame of Love because they received him not.10 They had never received the LORD's Christ in the Person of the ones sent to them, how could they receive the Messiah who had come?
In the fullness of that Love which becomes the judgment of the Law unto those who, though silenced by the statement of Love's law - a statement written in the very flesh and blood of the Guru and his chelas11 - yet remain unrelenting in their abuses of Love, Jesus asks the question that will now confound the scribes and Pharisees, even as he had confounded the Sadducees with his astonishing doctrine "God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."12
Now in the unquenchable, fiery love prophesied by John the Baptist, Jesus challenges them: "What think ye of Christ (the Messiah that I AM)? Whose son is he? (What is his origin? What is his seed? Whose soul is he?)" They said unto him, "The son of David." Then he asked them, "How then doth David, speaking in the Holy Spirit, call him Lord, saying, the LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?"13
This question, which no man was able to answer, must now be answered by the Lord Jesus Christ himself unto his disciples who are the branches of a living vine.14 The term "son of David" means soul of David even as the term "Son of man" (i.e., sun, or light, of man) refers to the soul of man when that one has become `fastened' to Christ.
Both refer to the soul (solar) identity that reincarnates again and again until it reunites with the individual Christ Self,15 referred to in much of the Old Testament scriptures as Adonai, meaning "Lord," or "Master." This Lord is the extension of the Lord, the I AM Presence, in your life, hence the individual Master, the very personal Guru of the soul, whom you address as your own beloved Christ Self.
The Christ Self, then, has communication with the Father who in both Principle and Person is the Presence of God (YHWH, or YAHWEH), the I AM THAT I AM, or the I AM Presence. Thus we find that the soul of David, endued by the Holy Ghost,16 addressed his own Christ Self, the archetype of the Messiah, and received of him the report that God the Father, his own beloved I AM Presence, had addressed his own Christ Self, saying, "Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool."
Thus the I AM THAT I AM summoned the Christ of David as well as the soul of David - who was ordained to be the vessel of that personal Christ consciousness holding the office of the Son of man - to sit on his right hand of authority, i.e., to rule in and through the I AM Presence until the Father would "make thine enemies thy footstool."
The enemies `without' of the soul who incarnated as both David and Jesus were the representatives of Antichrist who attacked his authority as the One Sent by the Great Silent Watchers and the Cosmic Christ to be the World Teacher - he who had been anointed by the I AM THAT I AM through the prophet Samuel17 and baptized by the I AM THAT I AM through John the Baptist. The enemies `within' were the elements of his own personal karma which he was required to balance before his final incarnation as Jesus when he would be called upon to bear the sins of the world, i.e., the planetary karma.
He then asked the Pharisees, "If David addressed the Christ as his Lord, how can that Christ, that Messiah, be the son of David?" Indeed it was the same soul who had incarnated as David who now reincarnated as Jesus who acknowledged the same Christ Self as his Lord and Master. Only now he had become that embodied Word, that embodied Adonai. There was no further distinction between the soul of Jesus and his own Christ Self, the Son of God. Hence he was called the Son of man. It was this highest Person of himself whom David had addressed as Lord - unto whose Identity his soul as Jesus attained.
While the Sadducees and the Pharisees would establish their authority by their supposed human ancestry descended from "their Father Abraham" and (at least the Pharisees) look for the Messiah, establishing his authority by the Davidic line, he himself would claim his authority solely through God the Father manifest in his own I AM Presence.
And he would teach his disciples that the real meaning of the seed of David and of his descent was the descent of the Christic seed which David bore - which Jesus bore when he was embodied as David - and which in truth is the seed of the Christ Self, the very Person of God, bequeathed to the sons and daughters by their own Father-Mother God, Alpha and Omega - regardless of who their earthly parents might be.
This implanting of the Personhood of God within his sons and daughters is the initiation which God delivers unto those souls who have fulfilled the requirements of the Law of Love, who have exercised free will in the footstool kingdom, outpicturing in the earth the patterns made in the heavens, as Above so below. The gift of the indwelling Christ is the gift of sublime Personhood to the child of God who has become the inheritor of his own Christ potential, sharing with Jesus Christ the joint-heirship that is reserved for him "that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."18
The difference between a child of God and the son of God is that the child is the soul of God entering the path of initiation whereby, measure for measure, through words and works, he shall put on and become the fullness of that potential who is Christ the Lord (Adonai). The son of God is one who has entered into a relationship of co-equality - co-creatorship - under God the Father. The son of God is the soul who has realized the fullness of the Christ of God19 - the Christ consciousness that descends out of the Lord who is God (YHWH, or YAHWEH), who is I AM THAT I AM.
This is the true and only descent of souls perfected in Love. They have no other origin but God. The difference between the child of God and the son of God, then, is one of steps, or degrees of attainment (or realization) of the Christic light, on the path of initiation to individual Christhood.
Truly it is said that the sons of God are not only made in the image of God which image is Christ, but they have become the fullness of that image in manifestation (i.e., in manifest action). Now their Words and their Works are God's. They are blazing `suns' of righteousness, `secondary' sources of the light of God, i.e., the fullness of the Second Person of the Trinity.
Hence the sons of God when they are fulfilling the Law of the One - the one and only begotten Son of God - are the Christs of God incarnate. They are the embodied Word. There is one Lord but many souls embodying that Lord. There is one Christ, one Son of God, one Word, but many souls with upraised chalices who are the living witness of the Universal One. And the quest for the Holy Grail leads to the discovery of one's sublime raison d'être: to be the vessel of God.
In heaven, the "sons of God present themselves before the LORD."20 They are also found among the "congregation of the mighty Watchers" whom the Lord called "Gods"21 because through the path of initiation they had become himself personified - they had totally identified with the Self that is God. (They had God's consciousness, or `God consciousness'. They were completely God's. Hence, "Ye are God's.")
In the very midst of this "assembly of the saints,"22 this council of the elect, the Supreme Godhead executes his judgments. He is the one God who is the Source of the God consciousness (the awareness of the Self as God) of "all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left."23
This host of heaven, I, Gabriel, declare to you to be the sons of God who have in the first instance descended to earth through Christ and who have in the second instance ascended to heaven through Christ. Through the descent and the ascent they have proven the Law of the incarnation of the Word in heaven and in earth as it is the will of God. And thereby they have completed the ritual of Alpha and Omega for the going out and the coming in of the soul from Spirit to Matter and from Matter to Spirit, which the Father-Mother God (Elohim) have ordained as the sowing and the reaping of cosmic consciousness.
The increase of light that results from the cycle completed, the ascension won, by a single son of God is the fruit by which his attainment is known. The fruit of the Father's harvest of his Son's Words and Works on earth is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the very presence of the Holy Spirit in the soul of God is proof that he has completed the requirements of Sonship as the embodiment of the Trinity through the threefold flame of the heart.
The initiation of the Holy Spirit is the ultimate conferment of power in heaven and earth accorded to the victorious one. It is this initiation of which Jesus spoke in the final hours of his mission on earth when he said, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."24
This power conferred is the actual Person of the Holy Ghost whose living Presence every ascended and unascended master has become. Having received this power from the Almighty One, the Guru now empowers his chelas to be himself in manifest action in the world of form. Placing his mantle of authority upon them in this ritual of empowerment he tells them:
Go ye therefore (in my name and in the flame of my God-realized Self), and teach all nations (transfer the enlightenment of the Word that I have given you to all planes of consciousness), baptizing them (anointing their chakras25 with the light of my attainment) in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost (in the name of the Trinity, the threefold flame, that I have become on earth as in heaven):
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (instructing them in the path of chelaship under the Law of the Great Guru as I have instructed you); and, lo, I AM with you alway, even unto the end of the world (and, lo, the mantle of my authority - my Electronic Presence, my auric forcefield, my Selfhood, the I AM THAT I AM of me, the God of me - is with you and in you, in all spheres of your individualized being, even until the end of the cycles of your personal and planetary karma when you, too, shall be the fullness of your own Christ Presence and I AM THAT I AM). Amen (AUM).26
The indwelling Godhead is the very nature of God-mastery itself and the sign of the disciple who has become one with the Guru - the Guru who, by the fusion of the soul with the threefold energy of Father/Son/Holy Spirit, turns Darkness into Light.27 All they who have that Spirit are the LORD's host (his Eucharistic Body) whether in heaven or in earth. And together they comprise the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood.
It is the law of God that the interaction of his Presence with those among his children who have not attained to this Trinity of God-Self expression, yet are reaching towards it as chelas, must always transpire through the personification of himself in the embodied Word - in heaven the ascended masters, in earth the unascended masters.
These living gurus are the true shepherds of the sheep because they have the Person of God. They are the "Emmanuel" - or "God-with-us" - presence.28 To be with them is to be with God. And all of the prophets, avatars, and anointed ones who have received the Word of God have received it from the ascended sons in heaven and transferred it as mediators to their unascended chelas on earth.
The word of God is always delivered in this manner by the host of the LORD to those on the path of initiation leading to full Sonship. When that Sonship is attained, that Son may stand directly in the Presence of the Almighty and still stand. Such a one is a messenger of God in heaven delivering the Word of God to the messenger of God's people on earth. Both messengers come in the Person of the Holy Ghost and are one in and as the Third Person of the Trinity.
Such a one was Moses who stood where heaven and earth meet in the Christ consciousness to receive the Word of the LORD - the Word of the I AM THAT I AM made personal as it was delivered to him through the ascended masters - on behalf of the children of Israel. And today your messenger in heaven Lanello delivers the Word of the I AM THAT I AM to your messenger on earth, the Mother of the Flame. Even so is every ascended master who dictates to her the Word of the LORD unto his people a messenger in heaven.
Therefore David knew that in the hour and the day when he would fulfill the law of his karma, all enemies within and without would be beneath his feet and he would be given dominion in heaven and in earth by the Most High God. David then called upon his Christ Self to fulfill the Word within him because he, David, was the offspring of that Christ Self. He was his son, he was his very own soul awareness.
Thus the perfect love of that Lord, that Christ Self, in each disciple confutes and refutes the legalism of the scribes, allowing the soul to transmute and transcend the lesser consciousness that is devoid of the Holy Spirit, hence anti-Holy Spirit, and enter into the fullness of the joy of the living Guru29 who is ever the lover of the souls of the living chelas.
