Gabriel - December 31, 1978

     Children of the Love of Alpha and Omega,

     Sealed within the soul is the inner awareness of what is and what is not. The reality of thy being can never be subject unto the doctrine and dogma of those who have sought by the intellectual methodology of the outer mind to interpret the great mystery of the Word incarnating again and again in Spirit and in Matter in the sons and daughters of God.

     There is no argument that can prove or disprove the Truth. Not argument but the experience of Truth, the being of Be-ness, if you will, is the only proof that God can be and is where you are and where I AM.

     I AM an archangel of the white light of the Mother. And who art thou, O disciple of Love? I would tell thee who thou art. But in all of my telling, the truth of thy being can be known only in thyself and of thyself.

     You will hear my word - you who would hear my word - and in the very Word itself there is established the link of hierarchy whereby the I and the thou are one. And in that oneness, you become more of thyself through myself. In knowing who I AM, you may become more of who you are - and in that becoming discover that we are indeed one in the chain of being.

     The ascended masters call their chelas to the true understanding of the mystery of Selfhood. This is not indoctrination, for the doctrine of Truth cannot be learned in the ordinary sense of the word. For you must become it, my beloved.

     With all of this chatter of programming and deprogramming, let it be understood that he who is programmed to a doctrine or dogma or a political, social, or economic ideology, whether of Light or of Darkness, can just as easily be deprogrammed; and he who believes by fear and by doubt can be brought to a state of unbelief by a similar doubt and fear.

     But he who knows who he is in God because he has become that God - because in heartfelt prayer and utter humility he has gone to the Holy of Holies to bow before the beloved Presence of God and to know that Presence as the lover of the soul - can never be deprogrammed because he has not been programmed!

     His religion is of the Light. It has come by the true path of initiation under the Lord Christ through confession that he is LORD and through confession of sin and the repentance thereof, and then through the conversion of the soul by the Person of the Holy Ghost.¹ He in whom the seed of the Word has been planted through direct contact with the ascended masters can never lose that seed unless he surrender it voluntarily through the betrayal of the Word - whether in his own Christ Self, in the messenger, or in the Master.

     The ascended masters' teachings are not based upon a belief system, so called, composed of a child's blocks, building hypothetical towers of human reason to fill the human vacuum. The Great White Brotherhood, in the integrity of the soul's potential to become one with God, quickens in each receptive heart by the light of the Logos that which has been known by the soul from the beginning unto the ending of its cycles in God.

     The Law that is written within the inward parts of the sons and daughters of God² cannot be reduced to a series of statements injected as instant self-awareness and then just as easily rejected as instant unawareness. No, the foundations of Truth are built century upon century as the soul, by love and love alone, enters into the true citadel of being.

     The Christ mind is the real mind of every disciple of God.³ This one Universal Mind to which all may gain access through an obedient humility is not programmed, nor indeed can be, by the fallen ones who would impose their belief systems upon the children of God.

     Their success in manipulation comes about because the children of God have placed their trust in the outer mind; and it is this outer mind that is subject to all of the influences that surround the evolutions of earth - hereditary, environmental, and including the auric impressions of every lifestream upon every other lifestream amplified by mass communication, satellite, and the psychic levels of human experience.

     Thus, at the level of the human consciousness, all are molded by common molding factors. Nevertheless, within the vehicles of the earth earthy⁴ there is that point of reality in which the soul may take refuge. It is the diamond-shining Mind of God - never self-limiting but limitless in its expansion and expression of Truth, unalterable and unbending in the self-awareness of Truth.

     The sacred scriptures are not intended to be used in a battle of wits with unwary souls where deprogrammers representing one phase of human doctrine attempt to deprogram their victims of one belief system and to replace it with another.

     The root of error within this generation is to be found within parents and teachers who have neglected to inculcate within the soul of the child the understanding of communion with the innermost Person of God, the Christ Self of each one. The soul who is one in that Christ, saved by that Christ, cannot be subject to the extremism of fanatics of left and right.

     And those parents who have sought to defend freedom of religion by denying all religion, those who have sought to remove from the public schools the simple prayer, the Christmas carol, the observance of the holy days of Christian, Jew, or Moslem⁵ - it is they who have sown the wind and who will reap the whirlwind⁶ of the barren consciousness that they have willed upon their children!

     The seven archangels stand within the schoolhouses of America and we give the Lord's Prayer for the little children whose mouths have been stopped, whose devotional nature has been tethered to a scientific humanism that declares, "With man all things are possible," instead of recognizing the great truth of being: "With God all things are possible unto man."⁷

     Yes, we recite the Psalms in a vacuum of spirituality where the matter universe itself threatens to collapse because of the failure of the children of God to infuse the blessed earth with the balance of light that always flows through prayer and meditation and devotions of the heart. And thus the most frightful programming of all is that programming of the children of a material civilization and a mechanized culture to a self-sufficiency outside of God.

     Were the German people who were hypnotized by the black magician Adolf Hitler⁸ inferior in some way or more ignorant than others to the tactics of his brainwashing? No, their susceptibility is the same that is frightening the parents and teachers of this generation.

     It was the susceptibility of a prior brainwashing that entered through the Protestant revolt. For with Luther and his ninety-five theses came the damnable doctrine of the removal of the Person of Christ from the sons and daughters of God and the removal of the LORD God as the inhabiter of the temple of the soul and the body! The denial of the proper role of the Virgin Mary and of the hierarchy of the hosts of the LORD, as well as of the communion of saints in heaven with the saints on earth, has deprived the children of God of the understanding of the great mystery of the Word incarnate both in the ascended masters and in the unascended devotees of God.

     Remove God from the temple, the consciousness of your children, ye parents and teachers well-meaning or otherwise, and your children will then be inhabited by the anti-God manifestations of a materialistic philosophy based on the pride of the personal self rather than the glory of the Person of God.

     If you do not teach your children to serve the God within, then they will unfailingly serve that mammon which you have erected in his place. For the children of God are devotional by nature, and they will give their devotion to the anti-God of the fallen ones if you take from them the true and living God who is worshiped in temples not made with hands.⁹

     No, those who respond to the call of the fascist, communist, or atheistic dictators are of two categories. Either they are the seed of the wicked sown by the father of lies who was a murderer from the beginning,¹⁰ who follow the archdeceivers because they are of the same vibration - or they are the children of God programmed in a false religion and a false understanding of God-government.

     You parents who have given to your children no foundation of the law of the prophets, the great miracles of Elijah and Elisha, you who have not given to them the tradition of the culture of God and of the Messiah come in the Person of Christ Jesus, you have no one to blame but yourselves when your children leave you for the prophets of the day, false or true.

     If you have not taught your children that God lives in them, by an example of morality, human kindness, compassion for life, and a mutual respect for one another because God is the reality of each self, then your children will seek the God for whom their souls long. And God have mercy upon them as they are left to sift and to search Truth and Error without the standard of the living Word incarnate!

     You who fear for your children because your own lives have been based upon fear, I come bearing good tidings of joy! For the birth of the Saviour is the promise of salvation to all people. He was and is the perfect love which casts out fear,¹¹ first within you and then within your offspring.

     When you love your children as God loves them, with the sacred trust that they are of him and will return to him, you will begin to have that peace that passes understanding¹² which your children are seeking outside of the home simply because you yourselves have not raised up that presence of peace that provides the divine solution to every human problem.

     The climate of "no religion" that has produced the vacuum of God consciousness which marks this age is as bad as false religion where the false gods of those who profess to pursue the fundamental teachings of Christ and of his word have become, O vanity of vanities!¹³ a religion of Bible-quoting, demon-possessed, so-called Christians who think they have salvation in a dead letter and an untempered zeal. Jesus referred to these when he said, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal Life: and they are they which testify of me."¹⁴

     They have lost the Holy Spirit which they have never found. And their temples are invaded by the impostors of that Spirit who, while professing obedience to the laws of God, do violate those laws even as they violate the free will of the individual to pursue the kingdom of God (i.e., the consciousness of God) whom he declared is within you.¹⁵

     To justify kidnapping and one form of brainwashing in order to counteract another form of supposed brainwashing by the quoting of sacred scriptures and the misappropriation of the Word is verily the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.¹⁶ To offer lies in defense of the supposed Truth is once again the age-old tactic of the fallen ones who proclaim: "Let us do evil, that good may come."

     To offer fanatical prayers of malintent against the witnesses to the Truth of being, calling for the death of our messengers - this is not the religion of Christ but of Satan. And those who lead the children of God in these Satanic rituals are those who have the greater fear and doubt in their own damnation.

     Those who are incapable of discerning Light and Darkness within themselves are the ones who make the loudest pronouncements concerning our representatives. They have denied the ascended masters and the living Christ within themselves. By what standard then, pray tell, can they know the servant of God or the prophet, true or false?

     Discernment comes by the gift of the Holy Ghost, and no one can say that even the living Master Jesus Christ is the LORD but by that Holy Ghost.¹⁷ It is our desire that every sincere seeker after God should become the agent of his Holy Spirit.

     Those who have sought the Holy Ghost through the impure motive of spiritual pride - and there are many within the churches today - have bypassed and been bypassed by the Spirit of God and have become the victims of discarnate entities posing as the Holy Spirit, as well as demons of pride who speak in the tongues of fallen angels and easily provide other demons for the interpretation of those tongues. Just as there has been the perversion of language upon earth, so there has been the perversion of the tongues of angels in heaven, and so the language of the fallen ones is not the original Word yet spoken by the archangels and their legions.

     So often the appearance of the gifts of the Holy Spirit has confused the children of God and caused them to follow ministers of the Word who have all manner of foul and unclean spirits and who are the first to accuse the representatives of the Great White Brotherhood in every age.

     Let programming, deprogramming, mass indoctrination, and the brainwashing of children and youth and of the susceptible of every generation be counteracted by the universal knowledge of the Word incarnate and the Truth that is the rock of every man's being.¹⁸

     The seven archangels challenge the enemies of righteousness and the enemies of the souls of humanity in church and state to prove their light and their right by their own God-realization on the path of attainment!

SAINT GERMAIN. Alchemy, the ancient science attributed to Adam, Noah, Moses, Solomon, Zoroaster, and Hermes, became more widely known during the first century in the Hellenistic culture of Alexandria, Egypt, through the synthesis of Greek philosophy, Egyptian technology, and the mysticism of middle eastern religions. First-century alchemists studied the Aristotelian hypothesis of 'prime matter', the basis for all substances in the terrestrial world. Upon this matter, forms could be impressed. The interaction of matter and form produces the four elements - fire, air, water, and earth - which in turn produce all material creation. Changes in the proportions of these elements in any given body result in the change of form; therefore, any substance can be changed into any other substance if the right conditions can be found. This hypothesis encouraged skilled metallurgists to speculate upon the cause for the behavior of the metals with which they had become so adept. In preparing gold and silver ornaments for the wealthy, they naturally experimented with imitations for poorer customers and postulated that, if Aristotle was correct, they should be able to make gold as easily as any substitute. They were supported in this view by astrologers who also believed that under proper astrological circumstances the transmutation of base metals into gold could occur more readily. Just as the body grows and the soul passes through the initiations of the crucifixion and the resurrection into the perfectionment of immortal life, so the ancient alchemists saw how metals developed within the earth from the less perfect substances of lead, copper, tin, iron, and mercury to the flawlessness of gold. They observed that they could hasten the process of change by careful nurture and long heating - 'killing' the metal and then reviving it in a more refined state over and over again until gold is produced.

These alchemists invented many types of laboratory apparatus (which, in modified form, are still used today by modern chemists). Essentially artisans, they wished to keep their alchemy a trade secret and so invented symbolic names which the uninitiated could not understand. They used astrological signs to denote the five metals, relating them in inherent characteristics to the five known planets. Gold belonged to the sun, silver to the moon. As Hellenistic philosophy shifted from the scientific viewpoint to an emphasis on divine revelation in Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, and Christianity, alchemical writings became more and more mystical. In the East, early Chinese alchemists following the Taoist philosophy sought to understand the way of natural law (tao means "way"). They made use of a 'medicine' - a substance which when added to mercury or other metals brought about the alchemy. Gold thus prepared possessed the power of conferring healing or even immortality to anyone who consumed it. As in the West, Chinese alchemy later became mystical and the writings obscure. When the Nestorian Christians broke from the Orthodox church in the fifth century, they founded schools throughout Asia Minor and taught the philosophy and science of their Hellenistic background which included alchemy. In the eighth and ninth centuries, the Nestorians contacted the Arabs who became intensely interested in Greek science. Through them, alchemy began to return to its practical origins. Since the Arabs were also in contact with China, they incorporated into their alchemical literature the Chinese concept of the 'medicine' which became the 'philosopher's stone' of later European alchemists. The philosopher's stone could heal the 'sick' (base) metals by converting them into gold and also act as an elixir of life. After the fall of Rome, almost all traces of Greek philosophy and science in Western Europe were lost and alchemy disappeared. In the eleventh and twelfth centuries, however, a reawakening of interest in science led to the investigation of Arab secrets. Many of their alchemical works were translated into Latin and later into all the major European tongues.

In the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, scholars such as Roger Bacon (Saint Germain) and Albertus Magnus devoted themselves to compiling all phases of knowledge into encyclopedic works. Alchemy served as an important link in their understanding. In the fifteenth century, alchemists began to turn their attention to more practical purposes than the attempt to make gold. It was at that time that Paracelsus developed metallic medicines and founded the school of iatrochemistry - the chemistry of medicines, the forerunner of modern pharmacology. The discovery of the structure of the atom at the beginning of the twentieth century has supported one of the oldest alchemical theories. The electron and the nucleus of protons and neutrons could be considered 'prime matter' and their structural relations the form which confers individual properties. In the light of the Holy Spirit, Ascended Master Saint Germain teaches his disciples in the twentieth century "spiritual alchemy," which is the science of self-transformation. The following statements were taken directly from Studies in Alchemy by Saint Germain, published by The Summit Lighthouse. When properly understood, alchemy deals with the conscious power of controlling mutations and transmutations within Matter and energy and even within life itself. The inner meaning of alchemy is simply all-composition, implying the relation of the all of the creation to the parts which compose it. It is the science of the mystic and it is the forte of the self-realized man who, having sought, has found himself to be one with God and is willing to play his part.

Two thousand years ago when Christ walked upon the waters of the Sea of Galilee, his demonstration was a manifestation of the natural law of levitation operating within an energy framework of cohesion, adhesion, and magnetism - the very principles which make orbital flight possible. The light atoms composing the body of Christ absorbed at will an additional quantity of cosmic rays and spiritual substance whose kinship to physical light made his whole body light, thereby making it as easy for him to walk upon the sea as upon dry land. His body was purely a ray of light shining upon the waters. The most dazzling conception of all was his ability to transfer this authority over energy to Peter through the power of Peter's own vision of the Christ in radiant, illumined manifestation. By taking his eyes temporarily from the Christ, however, Peter entered a human fear vibration and vortex which immediately densified his body, causing it to sink partially beneath the raging seas. The comforting hand of Christ, extended in pure love, reunited the alchemical tie, and the flow of spiritual energy through his hand raised Peter once again to safety. The key to alchemy that must precede the acquisition of all other keys is the mastery of yourself; for self-mastery is the key to all self-knowledge. You must acknowledge without question that you yourself are the alchemist who shall determine the design of your creation. Furthermore, you must know your self as the Real Self and your creation as coming forth from that Self. When used by the alchemist, symbols and symbology properly understood are literally charged with meaning. For example, mercury is the symbol of speed and interprets to the consciousness the thought of wakeful, reverent alertness, which swiftly endows the chemistry of action with the intensity of application. Salt equates with the idea of selfhood and reminds mankind of the need to have the self retain the savor of its Divine Source in preference to the crystallization of identity within the Sodom and Gomorrah of materiality indicated in the historical figure of Lot's wife. Fire, as life, is the catalyst which can be increased from the cosmic light within the cosmic rays in order to intensify and purify the radiance of life in the contemplated design. HERCULES AND AMAZONIA - Elohim of the first ray (the blue ray) of power, faith, and God's will. "In the beginning" when God sent forth the fiat "Let there be light," it was Hercules who summoned the mighty Elohim and the builders of form to come forth and precipitate the divine plan of the Solar Logoi. Most likely, the memory of the god known to the Greeks as Heracles (Roman: Hercules) was retained from an ancient encounter with the Elohim. Their mythology has descended from the elder days - probably from Atlantis. After thousands of years, however, the gods and goddesses assumed human characteristics in the minds of the people because of the degeneration of their soul faculties of inner sight and their tendency toward idolatry. Therefore, what is presently ascribed to the mythological Hercules may or may not reflect the actuality of the Elohim. To the ancients, Hercules was a 'hero' - one of their most illustrious ancestors, an intermediary between men and the gods. His name means "glory of the air." Hercules presided over all aspects of Hellenic education. In his aspect of athlete-hero, the Olympic Games were ascribed to him. It is said that at the command of the oracle of Delphi, Hercules spent twelve years under the orders of Eurystheus, who imposed upon him twelve arduous, seemingly impossible labors which, as a student of the deeper mysteries understands, demonstrated his mastery of the energies of the twelve solar hierarchies. The image of Hercules is set among the stars - "the Mighty One" who wields a great club in his right hand while grasping a triple-headed serpent in the left.

No longer relegated to myth and legend, the Elohim Hercules and Amazonia deliver their teaching to men and women today through the Messengers Mark and Elizabeth Prophet. The first dictation to the messengers by the Elohim of the First Ray was given by Amazonia on December 16, 1962. "Hercules manifests the power aspect of God," she explained, but "this power is always tempered by the feminine aspect so that it is not a de- structive force but it is a power of light and love." Amazonia spoke of the destructive forces which penetrated the heightened civilizations of South America long ago when there was a race of magnificent women bearing her name, Amazon. "The time has come when upon this planet there must manifest an understanding once again of the culture of the Mother race," she said. "It must be understood that this is not a conflict between sexes, between masculinity and femininity, but it is the upsurge of the Mother principle to take dominion as the principle of culture and virtue and loveliness which gives to a civilization an era of peace. ..." Amazonia pointed out that "the Elohim play a tremendous part in releasing into mankind's dominion the power of achieving an understanding of true culture." She spoke of the women of ancient Greece who beheld the great classic sculptures during the period of gestation "that they might externalize in their thoughts bodies beautiful, souls noble, and a consciousness charged with an exalted state." Amazonia encouraged women of today to train their youth in creative art. "It is so needful that the thought of beauty from out the Great Central Sun be held in the consciousness of the mothers of the world," she said. "They must recognize the power of the Creative Spirit himself to express the light rays from his heart through their mind and consciousness. ... The so-called cult of the Mother of the World must arise within mankind's consciousness that the youth of the world be trained for spiritual avatarship, for spiritual experiments, for spiritual living. ... This is the hour of your shining motherhood, the hour when the mothers of the world must unite in one beautiful expression of guarding the divinity of their sons and daughters of light." Hercules is "the taskmaster of taskmasters, I trained E1 Morya and I trained Djwal Kul. Kuthumi also came under my rule." (Mar. 16, 1975). Through the messengers, Hercules comes in the full power of the spoken Word-stripping mankind from "their faith in lesser appearances ... that they may know and be the fullness of that perfection which God ordained long before the form appeared" (July 5, 1964) and charging the soul with his momentum of faith in God. "As you gaze out upon the world and all of the imperfection manifesting upon the screen of life," Hercules says, "you may be reminded of the tasks given to the mythological Hercules of old to clean out the Augean stables, and the task may seem impossible of doing to your outer consciousness. But bear in mind, beloved ones, that there is no task in the universe that is too great for your own mighty I AM Presence!"

(Jan. 26, 1964) Hercules explains that mankind "must learn to rise above the human level of solving their problems and seek to find in the realm of their God Self the full range of cosmic expression and dominion, obtaining their victory from God which is a permanent and rightful dominion over the entire earth." (July 5, 1964) Hercules brings an understanding of the fiats of the Creator. "Light is the radiant, cultural energy of the Spirit by which all things were made, and light is the grace by which everyone is able to come to an understanding of the casting out of fear and the entering into the joy of God." (Feb. 9, 1969) Joy is an aspect of the first ray of the will of God. "When men understand that buoyant feeling," Hercules promises, "there is no possibility of distress continuing beyond the point of their letting go of it. ... Thus God does himself provide the means and full measure of mankind's freedom and liberation here and now!" (Mar. 31, 1968) On February 9, 1969, Hercules vested "you who will accept my flame with the power ... to perfect your world." On July 20, he explained that "in every individual monad, there is a gigantic spiritual map of all things created and sustained within. That map is the counterpart of every portion of reality everywhere. And whensoever an individual by reason of their consciousness brings down discord or darkness upon any part of life - whether it be a grain of sand or a continent-when they shun that part of life as though it had no reality or seek to annihilate it ... at that precise instant, as though a pin were pricked upon that map at that exact spot, darkness ensues in the consciousness and the individual carries, then, in their cup of light points of darkness." Mankind must obey the laws of God, Hercules says, "because they are your own - you made them in your Higher Self when the universe was created." Hercules returned on July 2, 1971, releasing great tides of light - bolts of blue lightning from the heart of the Great Central Sun. "I, Hercules, decree it this night that the earth shall not be the same againl" Blue lightning is the holy will of God, a quickening power. "It shall draw many into the Christ consciousness," Hercules declared. "And those who refuse will find that they are bound by the power of blue lightning ..." To shatter the density of the human consciousness, Hercules and his legions drew swords of blue flame. "I, Hercules of the Sun, have come to quicken in you all your divine plan. ... I take the branding iron of Almighty God and I place it upon your foreheads and you are sealed in the white stone forevermore." Legions of mighty Hercules stand ready to answer every call, for "you require blue lightning to survive in this world this day." (To be continued.)

HERCULES AND AMAZONIA (2). On July 2, 1971, Hercules also made the announcement of a sacred trust: "Wherever the blue lightning is invoked, Arcturus has pledged to follow it with violet flame; and wherever the violet flame is invoked, I have pledged to follow it with blue lightning" - a braiding action of light. On the Land of Lanello near Colorado Springs, Colorado, on July 3, 1973, Hercules explained that every ascended being - whether serving wisdom's flame or the flame of purity, the violet flame, the emerald or ruby ray - must come to the feet of Hercules to undergo the tutoring of putting that flame into action. "Action is the highest attainment of the Law!" he declared. "By dispensation from the Karmic Board, I stand in your midst and I give you an infusion of action fiame!" It is the fire needed for the Herculean task of bringing earth into the golden age. Hercules then explained how-through the Christ consciousness and a thorough understanding of the Law-individuals can come to the place where they can carry the karmic weight of souls in need of assistance on the Path. "Consider, then, how many souls you would like to sponsor, and then brace yourselves - as you see the statue of Hercules bracing himself - to carry the earth." Hercules said that there is much that he and other members of hierarchy can do for humanity if they would only make the call. Hercules explained that "in many cases, because of my office among the seven Elohim, I am the only representative of the Godhead who may stand between mankind and their returning karma. And therefore I say, wherever there is cataclysm or flood or Fire or storm or drought, I ask you to call unto me that I may intercede with the great power that God has given me on behalf of elemental life."

In a dictation given in Los Angeles on March 16, 1975, Hercules said that "you must not for one moment acknowledge time and space as a confinement, as a limitation, as separation, but only as God's way of compartmentalizing eternity. ... At any moment when time seems a barrier to unfoldment, make the sign of the cross where you are and declare, 'Behold I AM in infinity and all things are in me, and of me, and I AM the Lord, the God of very gods. I AM the fulfillment of the spirals of eternity'. ... To overcome space whenever you have a sense of separation from things or loved ones or from accomplishment, mark the arc of the heart. Span that space by an arc of love and see how, wherever you are, you can contact the heart of any child of God or any aspect of the creation. And by the arc of infinity and by the parabolic curve space is not, time is transcended, and you are everywhere in the consciousness of God." Hercules announced "the first step of the light revolution" on July 3, 1976, in Washington, D.C. By an edict of Almighty God, "grids and forcefields of the mind of God are being lowered into this planetary body as the antahkarana of power" - a focal point for the crystallization of the will of God. Those "who constantly thwart that will will find themselves extremely confined," he said, "for by the antahkarana of power there will be a swift return of their rebellious consciousness" - the boomerang of their own returning karma. "Either you will preserve your identity in that light or you will find yourselves - by your own edict and none other - cancelled out by that very light which you have misqualified." Hercules then announced the opening of his retreat "to chelas of the will of God who have made their way to the Will of God Focus, who have given the calls to the blue ray consistently day by day."

The retreat of Hercules and Amazonia is located in the etheric plane in and over Half Dome - a magnificent focus which rises nearly a mile from the floor of Yosemite Valley on the west side of California's Sierra Nevada mountain range. The etheric retreat is superimposed within the rock. There Hercules and Amazonia focus the energies of the throat chakra of the planet. Two immense white pillars grace the entrance, which opens upon a spacious octagonal hallway glowing with the intense love of the Elohim for the will of God - a brilliant blue light. A flight of stairs descends from the hallway into a circular room; in the center is a large blue-white diamond with the flame of Hercules and Amazonia blazing through. A circular stairway ascends around the periphery of the room to another round council chamber on the next floor, a room built on a series of circular platforms. At one side are the thrones of Hercules and Amazonia. There are accommodations for several hundred guests - members of the Great White Brotherhood - who often meet with the Elohim to discuss the ways and means of implementing the power of the will of God in the world of form. Behind the thrones of Hercules and Amazonia is a passageway leading to another room. Those who attend council meetings pass through other doors to the right and to the left of the thrones into another circular chamber which contains the main focus of the flame of the will of God. Hercules has placed his electrode at the peak of every mountain, "for I know that the will to climb higher is the determination out of which the chela is born."

On October 31, 1976, Hercules called for a fast - a sacrifice "for the victory of God on election day." He said: "When all human planning and all human solutions do fail, then there is no other way for salvation than by the direct intercession of his Spirit. ... The fasting in the physical plane prepares the way for the fasting in the subconscious whereby those forces of darkness are ejected from the very house of the Lord," he explained. "When the people are filled with God, then there is a compelling action of the Lord's Spirit. ... You must believe in the miracle presence of the Holy Spirit to overcome - not by entering into and dividing the arguments and the platforms of the candidates, but by overriding, by sweeping through, by transmuting and transforming until the consciousness of the leaders themselves is so in the presence of the light that they - in spite of themselves, unknowingly even - become his instruments for the judgment, for the overcoming, and for the reign of the Prince of Peace." On July 1, 1977, Hercules came "representing many ascended beings who are charging you with the edification of your soul and mind and heart and the necessary action" to stop the downward trends of society and the betrayal of freedom by the fallen ones in positions of public service. "Meditate, then, upon the great revolutionaries of light through the ages," Hercules admonished. "There is a moment, there is a cosmic interval that seems as an eternity. It is the moment of the decision to give your all for the cause of the Great White Brotherhood." Hercules comes "to deliver to you a chalice and a challenge." The chalice - symbol of God consciousness, pouring out the energizing power of the Elohim. The challenge-"You must act, act with dispatch. ... for what your leaders are undoing with a stroke of the pen or with a word carelessly given has taken centuries to build. ... Therefore, pursue the divine plan. Therefore, pursue your calling. And above all, remember that it is the spark of the will of God and the power of the Holy Spirit which the Elohim convey to you-leaping heart to heart-that is the key. It must be a heart manifestation, it must be. For America is the heart and the very secret chamber of the heart of the earth. America as an entire nation is the entering in to the secret chamber, to the place of initiation, and all of her land and all of her areas are for that specific goal of the initiation of souls of light. ... I lay my life and being on the altar of Terra. I lay my life this night as Hercules." APOLLO AND LUMINA - Elohim of the second ray (the yellow ray) of wisdom, omniscience, understanding, illumination, and the desire to know God through the mind of the Son, the Second Person of the Trinity. Apollo and Lumina are guardians of the Cosmic Christ consciousness. Apollo's flame is a golden yellow enveloped in a sheath of blue lightning. The blue flame acts as a protective forcefield of energy surrounding the light of the Christ. This blue lightning cuts through the density of human error and misqualification, clearing the way for Lumina's golden flame which manifests the perfection of the seven aspects of the Christ mind. The twin flames Apollo and Lumina infuse earth, air, fire, and water with the intelligence locked in the center of the atom - the essence of the diamond-shining mind of God. The god known long ago to the Greeks as the mythological Apollo could well be the representation of their memory of an ancient encounter with the Elohim. After thousands of years, however, the gods and goddesses assumed more and more human traits in the minds of the people. Hence, what is currently attributed to Apollo as the god of Greek mythology may or may not reflect the actuality of the Elohim. Apollo was known in the Pythagorean tradition as the symbol of masculine beauty, the solar god who personifies the spiritual light of which the sun is the physical image. He represented the descent of heaven on earth. Apollo is considered by some to be the Solar Logos, the Mediator, Vishnu, Mithras, Horus, the Universal Word. Apollo was lawgiver to the Greek city-states. As the god of divination and prophecy, he communicated to humanity by means of prophets and oracles as in the famed ritual of Delphi. In the tradition of the prophets of old, Mark and Elizabeth Prophet are empowered by the Holy Spirit to deliver to the sons and daughters of God the Word of the Lord spoken by Elohim. In a dictation given on December 29, 1974, Apollo stood among the seven Elohim "forming a stellar formation across the cosmos this night, localizing the five-pointed star of man's identification as a Christed one. This is the star of the appearing of the Christ consciousness," Apollo explained. "We raise our hands and there is the quivering of the bow. The arrow of a cosmo-conception is released and energies flash forth between the Elohim as a certain light is released from the heart of Alpha and Omega. Now visualize that starry configuration of the five-pointed star - five points of light within you - and you will feel as the energy flows from the points of the star each Elohim and divine complement sending forth the fire to every other point of the star. Now for this macrocosmic miracle we desire to have a counterpoint in form. You are that counterpoint as you are in the starry body of man. APOLLO AND LUMINA (2) continuing the dictation given on December 29, 1974, the Elohim released "the fires of the secret rays for the alignment and the balance of the consciousness of every living soul throughout the Cosmic Egg." In a mighty fiat, the solar Logos called forth the quickening of wisdom's flame for the purging of this system of worlds "of their ignorance of the Law." Then the Elohim called for the release of solar fires. "let the planet Terra now be bathed in the fires of illumination," Apollo declared, "as the corona of the sun, as a ring of fire, encloses the earth plane" - pressing through the elements and the atoms of the physical earth. "Come now into the Logos, the inner reason of your inner being," Apollo thundered. "Sit up tall, move into the forcefield of your I AM Presence, know your reality, and see how that forcefield, that body temple, is a point of contact in time and space. Look down upon yourself, look down and see yourself as the altar of God in Mater. Use that altar, project light from the heart of your Identity, the I AM THAT I AM. Project now that light as you stand in the center of the flaming Monad of your God consciousness." Apollo explained that "for us you are a point of contact in a plane, in a dimension where by cosmic law we may not go, we may not intercede or interfere unless we are called upon. By your free will you have placed yourselves in our aura this night. For a moment you have become cells in the body consciousness of Apollo and Lumina. For a moment your souls have been quickened to the frequency of our dwelling place in the Most High God that is your own individuality, your own I AM Presence. Will you not make that moment the duration of this embodiment? Will you not ask and receive the calling to be a cell of the Elohim until the hour of your ascension? ... If you ask and receive that calling then it is set, it is sealed, you have opened the inn of being to receive the Cosmic Christ consciousness of the Elohim. And then you will see how we will anchor the arc of golden-yellow fire and golden liquid light from our retreat into your form and consciousness in those moments of crisis when there is a critical balance that is required. ... You have but to give the word in your heart now, to speak the word and the invitation and to say: 'In the name of my Christed reality, I am a chalice for the Elohim forevermore."' "The hour has come for mankind to receive that increment that is delivered only once in 10,000 years ..." This was the initiation of the Seven Holy Kumaras announced by the Elohim Apollo on July 6, 1975. In consonance with the Christ Self of each one, the Solar Logoi implanted a rod of yellow-diamond light from the Central Sun "by cosmic edict - the stepping up of the mind of humanity." By free-will choice, mankind may "employ the rod to enter a new era and a golden age," Apollo said. "And the rod is sealed in the blue fire of our momentum for the protection of that energy .... Therefore, let the magnet in the crown be the increase of the awareness of God as Father, God as the masculine ray. For this is the awareness that will polarize the true feminine. Therefore, let the tyranny of the perverted masculine go down. Let it be consumed by Cosmic Christ illumination. From the heart of the Elohim, let all that has hindered the true expression of the Divine Mother be consumed." In the same dictation, given at Mt. Shasta, Apollo demanded the exposure - through enlightened sons and daughters of God - of false teachers, hypocrisy, and mediocrity in education. "Go back to school!" he commanded, prompting students of the light to become qualified to convey the true teachings, to "crack the cement of that intellectual learning" and overthrow those supporting the Luciferian system. "We have not the authority to enter Terra unless bidden by yourselves," he explained. "Yours is the flame which must do the work in this age." "Why do you wait?" Apollo asked, encouraging students to turn over to him the requirement of funds needed for Montessori International. "I will see to it that the flow comes forth from God ..." Having kept his promise by sponsoring the move of Montessori International to Pasadena, California, Apollo returned on October 7, 1977, "with a quickening of illumination. Let that illumination be for the softening of the mind so stereotyped, so programmed that you can scarcely enjoy the wondrous interchange whereby you are almost entertained twenty-four hours a day as you receive the impressions of the mind of God." Apollo explained that "mankind have circumvented the mind of God by their rebellion against his light, his eternal Son incarnate." He called for souls "willing to be gentle instruments of the wisdom of God" - not resisting each request made of the Great Law "but following as gentle flowers blowing in the breezes ..." He came, then, with the Scroll of Life wherein was written many thousands of names - "those who have, in many thousands of years, passed the initiations of obedience to God's laws" and therefore stood prepared to inherit a portion of the mind of God. "As you individually are counted among those who have not resisted the calling of God and of the messengers," he said, "you will find the tingling, the quickening, the acceleration of wisdom in the chakras. This you will perceive at inner levels; and by and by without, you will find new ideas, inventions, creativity, but above all that great ingenious quality that rejoices to figure out how to make the will of God work regardless of the circumstances that have been contrived against it." Retreat of the Elohim of the Second Ray The retreat of Apollo and Lumina is located in the etheric plane over Lower Saxony, Germany. Here the Elohim of the Second Ray focus the energies of the crown chakra of the planet. There are three stories in the round dome of this etheric retreat built in a parabolic curve, the first floor being the largest and the second and third being progressively smaller. A spherical focus of the flames of Apollo and Lumina is in the center of each of these three levels. In the center of the first floor is a golden yellow ball resembling a whirling galaxy, its component star clusters whirling at such a high frequency that they appear to be at perfect rest. In the center of the second floor is an identical sphere of a brilliant sapphire blue. In the center of the upper room is another golden sphere like the one on the first floor. On each floor there is a spherical meditation room having as its focal point the spherical flame. Each of these rooms accommodates approximately a thousand angels serving under Apollo and Lumina. Their glorious golden-yellow auras and robes make those who behold them feel as if they are in the center of the Great Hub. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and archives form a radial pattern out from the center of the meditation room on each of the three floors. At the first level there is a circular hallway following the circumference of the building. On either side of the hall are three-dimensional exhibits showing the operation of the law of cycles throughout the earth. There are several thousand such displays atop square pillars about four feet high. When the Elohim responded to the great command to go forth and create the earth, they did so through the initiation of cycles. The many cycles which are the components of our world actually make up its individuality. The cycles of earth, air, fire, and water, of the mineral and plant kingdoms, of time and space-all are illustrated. These cycles are based on the law of the twelve illustrated in the twelve bands of the 'causal body' and the twelve signs of the zodiac, also known as the twelve hierarchies of the sun. Illustrated are the cycles of cosmic beings and their release of light to the planet, the cycles of civilizations, the cycles of photosynthesis and precipitation. The electronic forcefield within the square blocks allows these displays to be suspended in air and to have "live parts," moving flames, spirals showing the endless complexities of our world and making them simple through illustrations. One could easily spend a hundred years studying these displays and being tutored by the great cosmic scientists who serve in this retreat. In preparation for the coming golden age, tremendous tides of illumination's flame are being released from this temple. The millions of angels who serve under Apollo and Lumina are ready to go forth to raise the consciousness of the entire earth to the level of the Christ in answer to the calls of the students. These, together with those angels serving at the retreats of Jophiel and Christine, Lord Lanto, the God and Goddess Meru, Lord Gautama Buddha, Lord Himalaya, Lord Maitreya, and the World Teachers Jesus and Kuthumi should be called upon on behalf of the enlightenment of all mankind, for they are equal in every respect to the tremendous task at hand.

HEROS AND AMORA - Elohim of the third ray (the pink ray) of divine love, omnipresence, compassion, charity, and the desire to be God in action through the love of the Holy Spirit. Heros and Amora infuse earth, air, fire, and water with the cohesive power of the Holy Spirit, the Whole-I-Spirit, the integrating principle of life. By the power of their love, planets are held in their orbits and electrons continue on their appointed rounds. Heros could have been known to the ancient Greeks as Eros, to the Romans as Cupid - the personification of the cosmic force which brings harmony to chaos, coordinating the elements which constitute the universe. The mythology of the Greeks and Romans is most likely taken from their memory of an ancient encounter with the Elohim. Since that time, however, the gods and goddesses have assumed human characteristics in the minds of the people. Hence, mythological figures may or may not reflect the actuality of the Elohim. Out of the love of Elohim, the Messengers Mark and Elizabeth Prophet deliver the teaching of Heros and Amora in the full power of the spoken Word. "Love is more than a passion. Love is a flame of life and its continuity ..., "Heros said on July 4, 1971, in his first dictation given through the messengers. Heros came then, "mindful of the unsung heroes of the world," sharing a glimpse into the struggles and triumphs of an Arabian shepherd boy, Bahjat, whose thoughts and songs of love were without words until another life when he became known as Kahlil Gibran. "Identify with love and all shall be perfected," Heros admonished. "For love that triumphs over all invokes in the soul the memory of its ancient perfection .... "In the same dictation, Heros declared that the time has come for cosmic truths to inundate the earth." ... The Word needs but to be spoken!" he said. Therefore "by the strength of the Elohim," Heros released a mighty fiat. "O heart chalices of mankind, open, open, open! ..." On July 5, 1974, in Spokane, Washington, Heros and Amora flooded forth the intense fires of love, calling to mighty beings of light - including the angels of Virgo and Pelleur, angels of Jesus the Christ, angels of white fire purity from the God Star - for the consuming of all dross, fear, death, doubt, and injustice, for the consuming of all pollution in the four quadrants of being, for the transforming and healing of Terra. Long, long ago after the Flood when "the whole earth was of one language," it was Chamuel and Charity, Archangel and Archeia of the Third Ray, who released the Lord's judgment upon members of the house of Noah who built "a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven." They said, " ... Let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." Beholding what "the children of man" had built, the Lord said, " ... Let us go down, and there confound their language. ... Therefore is the name called Babel." (Gen. 11:1-9) In the dictation given in 1974, Heros and Amora called to Chamuel and Charity to "send forth the love ray for the confounding of the tongues of Babel." The Elohim said, "Blaze forth the arc of love that will confuse their carnal-mindedness, that will confuse the fallen ones and the Liar and the lie and lay the snare that will ultimately be the downfall of the Luciferians. Roll back all darkness by the power of 1ove! Roll it back by the fire of Jove! Roll it back! Burn through and let all come to the presence of love and know that God is real for God is love. Behold, our God is the consuming fire of love that burns through and restores life and will and wholeness and wisdom ... I send forth this love into Syria, into Damascus for the burning up of the ancient hatreds of the laggards. I send forth love into Israel ... into America ... behind the iron curtain. I draw all souls into the fire infolding itself in the heart of Love." Heros called forth a mighty clearing action by the "white fires of love" and the ruby ray. "I say to all mankind, stop where you are! Stop! Listen! Behold! Change your minds!" Following Heros' dictation, Amora responded in the gentleness of her Elohimic awareness of God as Mother. " ... You can exact the law and the discipline simply by loving," she instructed, ordaining those present as emissaries of Heros and Amora that over each gesture of their kindness the love of Elohim might flow. "The love that has been released in this service this day is for an entire generation," she said. "If you cannot carry this love, if you cannot defend this love against all enemies, then I say I cannot promise when love will come again in such a torrent and such a release." On April 13, 1975, Heros addressed those who have demanded a solution to the problems on Terra. "The resolving of these problems is love," he declared. "The action of love is the action of the mightiest force in all of cosmos, the unleashing of the white-fire core of the atom ..." Heros came from out the Great Central Sun "to reinforce spirals of love in Terra." He said: "I anchor the momentum of our love in the center of the earth. And there goes forth this day from the fiery core of every atom, every particle of Matter, the energy of love - the energy to coalesce light and the energy that will confound the darkness and also draw out that darkness that mankind must make the choice. ... The action of love is reinforced by the Seven Holy Kumaras this day as mankind are the recipients of the action of the ruby ray. In past ages, the release of this energy has brought about cataclysm, debacle, plagues and all manner of disturbance, and the confounding of tongues in the creation of the Tower of Babel. Let it be known, then, that love is for the alignment of electrons. Love is for harmony, and those who resist harmony find themselves in utter chaos when in the presence of divine love. ... So by the fulfilling of the law of love is action come this day for a staying of the hand of the wicked and of the hand of the unrighteous, for the clearing of the pathway of the flame of life, even of the flame of the Mother, and a preparing of the way as the causal body of John the Baptist is released to prepare mankind's consciousness for the true teachings of the ascended masters." Heros encouraged all who espouse truth to "invoke the light of the sacred fire and know that that sacred fire is sufficient as the action of the baptism of the Holy Spirit to baptize an entire planetary body and her evolutions, to bring mankind into alignment with the law of love, and to cause the straightening of the axis-not only of the planet, but of the spines of mankind. ..." HEROS AND AMORA (2). Continuing the dictation of April 13, 1975, Heros explained that "when you elevate your thoughts and feelings through meditation and invocation to the heights of cosmic consciousness, you magnetize all aspects of God already one with that point of God-realization. I am an Elohim. And the Elohim impart the consciousness of the El and the awareness of alignment of the law of forcefields and grids and cosmic energies. And the Elohim, in whose consciousness is the sustaining of an entire cosmic egg, come to reinfuse your life with cosmic purpose. ... See how in the coming days there is a reinforcement of choices. Those who choose light will find their light reinforced, will find cosmic momentums moving as the wind of the Holy Spirit in the sails of the soul to propel them into cosmic service and usefulness unto the law of life. ... Choose ye this day the love that ye will serve!" Amora returned on July 4, 1977, fulfilling "the destiny of love released by Heros" in 1974. "I come with an echo of love from out the Great Central Sun," she said. "And now the angels of the Central Sun who have formed a giant spiral over this forcefield ... are ready to release into your hearts a spiral of love for the transformation of whatever world with which it comes in contact. According to your vision, so will the action of your love-spiral be. ... If you would transform your community, your nation, your earth and solar system, so it shall be. ... Continuing the dictation, Amora described the dispensation that she was to release that night. "Now visualize the ascension coil beginning in the center of the base of the pyramid and spiraling clockwise, forming the largest cycle coincident with the square and then coming closer and closer and forming a rising pyramid until it is complete in the all-seeing eye. See that spiral, then - that is the grid and forcefield for your victory. The spiral of love which I will release to you in the name of God this night will be a coil of pink energy. It will descend upon you according to that visualization and that energy magnet of the ascension coil. It will be placed around you, and it will remain and intensify as you guard your harmony in love. It will decrease if you misuse the harmony of love, And if your misuse becomes a perpetual misqualification, then you will lose this spiral of love. Thus I give to you a matrix which is yours to use as a gift of God for the transformation even of your body temple from the body terrestrial to the body celestial." Retreat of the Elohim of the Third Ray - Heros and Amora focus the energies of the heart chakra of the planet in their retreat located in the etheric plane over Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The forcefield of this temple is designed after the pattern of a budding lotus. The temple is square, made of rose quartz, with giant petals rising at each corner. From the tip of each petal to the center of the sides of the temple extend two bands of a metallic-like substance which serve as conductors of light. There are three petal-shaped doors at the entrance of the retreat which is in the tall spire in the center of one of the four sides. Going through the entrance down a central hallway we approach the sunken altar of the love ray. Here the pink plume of the love flame burns in the center of the first floor. Three tiers descending into the floor form the bowl for the flame which is surrounded by carved petals. Three other arteries proceed away from the altar to petal-shaped classrooms that are within the four squares into which the first floor is evenly divided. There are four levels in this retreat, the second and third floors consisting of chambers used by the pink-flame angels who serve here and the masters who frequent the retreat. On the top floor is the throne of the Elohim in a large round room, an audience chamber, having the appearance of a disc with beautiful carvings in the stone walls. Throughout the retreat are sculptured art forms which convey the action of divine love to the universe, its cohesive power within the atom and in galaxies. Meditation upon these sculptures infuses the consciousness with the understanding of the laws of love and their operation at every level of consciousness, for they key into the patterns within the atom and the cell of man where the laws of God are written in his inward parts. Therefore, upon seeing these sculptures, the chela ties into that which he already knows, and he becomes that knowledge through meditation. The radiance of the pink flame from the heart of Heros and Amora together with that of Chamuel and Charity forms an arc of love connecting the retreat over Lake Winnipeg with that of the Archangel and Archeia of the Third Ray over St. Louis, Missouri.

PURITY AND ASTREA - Elohim of the fourth ray (the white ray) of purity, perfection, hope, and wholeness. It is the flame of the Mother and the flame of the ascension - the desire to know and be God through purity of body, mind, and soul through the consciousness of the Divine Mother which embraces the natural laws governing all manifestation in the earth plane. Purity holds the divine pattern of the perfection of the Christ for all that is in manifest form. He focuses the white fire that is in the heart of every sun and atom - the pure white light out of which emanates the seven 'rays', or aspects, of the Christ consciousness. Blue is considered the feminine aspect of white because the white fire of Purity coalesces as blue in the Matter plane. Thus Astrea, the feminine complement of Purity, works twenty-four hours a day wielding her cosmic circle and sword of blue flame to free the children of the Mother from all that opposes the fulfillment of the divine plan held in the heart of Purity. She personifies the Hindu concept of Kali, "the demon-slayer." You can make the circle and sword of blue flame practical in your life as Jesus Christ did when he called upon Purity and Astrea to exorcise the boy possessed of a demon - the one who lay on the ground frothing at the mouth, whom the disciples could not heal (Matt. 17:14-21). The circle of blue fire invoked from the heart of Astrea is a dazzling blue-white fire that oscillates as two concentric rings of fire - the blue of Astrea, the white of Purity - interchanging frequencies at such a rapid rate so as to appear as the action of blue-white lightning flashing around souls, planets, solar systems, galaxies - wherever there is a need for the reinforcement of the will of God in the divine blueprint held in the white-fire core of being. Whenever and wherever there is discord in any form, in any of its aspects, you should call in the name of the Christ to the Elohim Astrea: "Lock your cosmic circle and sword of blue flame around the cause and core of the condition." Then see this circle of the sacred fire lock around the individual at the waist, around entire groups of individuals, around buildings, around entire cities, states, nations, and even around the earth at the equator. See this in your mind's eye as a ring of the brilliant sapphire and diamond-flashing fire - its regular, almost geometric flames cutting away, like a buzz saw, layers and layers of discord and density. Then visualize the sword of blue flame as a pillar of blue fire perpendicular to the circle of blue flame, breaking the matricies of darkness, shattering forcefields of disease, decay, and death . And above all, see the Elohim standing over each individual for whom you are praying, holding the sword of blue flame two inches from the spine and parallel to it. This is the action whereby the Elohim demagnetize the being and consciousnesss of the individual of all darkness, all sinister strategies of the fallen ones, and the serpentine energies of the carnal mind. Whenever and wherever you invoke the circle and sword of blue flame from the heart of Purity and Astrea, you can know with absolute certainty that an action of cosmic momentum is taking place.

Volume 21, Number 51, footnote 19. Khmer Rouge ("Red Cambodians"): Marxist insurgents who overturned the Western-backed Lon Nol government in April 1975 after nearly five years of fighting. Although there is no way of accurately counting, it is estimated that as many as three to four million Cambodians out of a population of some seven million were murdered or died from disease, malnutrition, or forced labor during the four-year Khmer Rouge regime. Within hours of their take-over, the new leaders, calling themselves Angka Loeu, or "Organization on High," began to implement a preplanned program of social change. Every man, woman, and child in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital, was ordered at gunpoint to immediately leave the city (doctors were even stopped mid-operation) and head for the countryside. Survivors of the march later reported that those who could not keep pace were clubbed or shot. As the days passed, the young children and elderly, the sick, wounded, and pregnant were left on jungle trails to die. Soldiers of the former regime as well as professionals of any kind were slaughtered, often in barbaric ways, in an effort to "purify" the new society. All vestiges of modern society - from TV sets to radios, books, and money in the banks - were destroyed, and the country was virtually cut off from the outside world except for contact with the Chinese, who provided some aid in the form of technical advisors and supplies. Angka Loeu was intent on eradicating traditional concepts and patterns of family life as well. Parents were stripped of their right to discipline children, and children were encouraged to report on elders. Love was forbidden; even simple flirtation was punishable by execution. The Cambodian population, relocated in rural communes supervised by armed guards, was forced to work long hours planting rice and building irrigation systems. In the wake of these brutal social and political upheavals, Democratic Kampuchea, as Cambodia was renamed in 1976, was ravaged by starvation and disease. It had become what one refugee called "a country of walking dead." "Within a few days Angka Loeu had turned Cambodian society upside down," explain authors John Barron and Anthony Paul in Murder of a Gentle Land (New York: Reader's Digest Press, 1977). "The 'Organization on High' had advanced faster and further than any other revolutionaries of modern times toward the complete obliteration of an entire society." Among the handful of revolutionaries behind Angka Loeu were: Khieu Samphan, Hou Yuon, Hu Nim, Son Sen, Ieng Sary, Ieng Thirith, Koy Thuon, and Saloth Sar (Pol Pot), who emerged as prime minister and leading figure in the government. Border clashes between Vietnam and the Kampuchean government during 1977 turned into a full-scale war, and by January 1979 Phnom Penh fell to Vietnamese forces and Kampuchean rebels (see chapter XI, n. 6, p. 365). The Khmer Rouge guerrilla army, reportedly still under Pol Pot's command, has continued to mount strong resistance against the Hanoi-backed government. Soviet Concentration Camps: A CIA report released in November 1982 estimated that there were at least four million prisoners in forced-labor camps in the Soviet Union, 10,000 of whom were political inmates. The First Guidebook to Prisons and Concentration Camps of the Soviet Union (Seewis, Switzerland: Stephanus Edition, 1980) by dissident Avraham Shifrin, who spent 10 years in Soviet camps, describes over 2,000 penal institutions dotted throughout the USSR (a partial list including only those for which the author had an exact address): 1,976 camps (among them 119 women's and children's camps where, for instance, children are forcibly separated from the "bad influence" of religious parents); 273 prisons, where political prisoners are mixed with ordinary criminals; and 85 psychiatric prisons. Some of the crimes for imprisonment are reading banned philosophical and political books, applying for exit visas to emigrate to the free world, participating in anti-Soviet conversations, and posting notices. In psychiatric prisons, where dissidents and those held for practicing their religion are imprisoned alongside the insane, treatments can range from electric shocks to neuroleptic drugs to being bound in a wet straitjacket which, as it dries, compresses the body with tremendous force. An eyewitness at a children's camp reported to Shifrin that "clubcarrying supervisors (officially called 'educators') roaming about the camp grounds subject the young prisoners (aged 10 to 18) to merciless beatings ... Children are assigned backbreaking duties, despite prevalence of hunger in the camp. Those who fall ill and request transfer to a hospital are beaten." At the Novosibirsk women's camp, says Shifrin, "1500 prisoners, including nursing mothers, are given physically exhausting duties in a plant in which reinforced concrete plates are manufactured." Testifying on the hazardous working conditions which prisoners are subjected to, former Gulag inmate Mikhail Makarenko told the U.S. Senate in 1982 that "people are working in a temperature 50 degrees below zero without any safety [precautions] on higher elevations, on walls and so on." In some camps, says Shifrin, prisoners are virtually assured disability or death, working at high-risk jobs in uranium mines or military nuclear plants. Dmitry Mikheyev, a Ph.D. in theoretical physics who served six years in hard-labor camps for political opponents, claims that "contrary to widespread opinion, labor in political camps at the present time has only an 'educative' function. Its goal is to help form the Internal Dynamic Stereotype, not to extract profit from free prison labor." Behavioral training methods for political prisoners, such as highly mechanical jobs reduced to a few movements or carried out to a set of commands, "have been borrowed from the army, which has accumulated rich experience in the production of living semi-automatons under Soviet rule," says Mikheyev. Idi Amin: Ugandan army commander who ousted President Milton Obote in 1971, abolishing parliament and declaring himself president for life. As many as 300,000 Ugandans are said to have died during his eight-year reign, another 250,000 fled to Kenya, and many others lived in exile in Britain. "Big Daddy," as he liked to call himself, a 270-pound former military boxing champion, drew worldwide attention by his flamboyant eccentricity in foreign policy, outspoken belligerence toward other nations and their leaders (particularly Israel and neighboring Tanzania), and his ruthless purges. These included the periodic liquidation of prominent Ugandans and several thousand Lango and Acholi tribesmen who had supported Obote. "On any given day it was not unusual for 100 to 150 Ugandans to be killed," Reader's Digest reported in January 1980. "Entire villages were wiped out. Bodies floated down the Nile by the hundreds." Described as a man who could turn in a moment from gentle and charming to demonic, Amin's bizarre conduct led to persistent rumors about his mental stability. In a blatant show of racialism, Amin expelled the 50,000 Asians living in Uganda in 1972, only to strip the country of the trained personnel vital to its economy. When Britain cut off all aid following renewed reports of torture and brutality, Amin confiscated British businesses in Uganda without compensation - later claiming that relations with Britain went awry because he would not marry an Englishwoman. In 1977, Anglican archbishop of Uganda Janani Luwum and two of Amin's cabinet ministers were killed, beginning the persecution and slaughter of many Christians and non-Muslims (Amin was a convert to Islam). Amin's downfall came when he invaded Tanzania in October 1978 in an attempt to draw attention away from internal problems. In April 1979 Tanzanian troops with Ugandan exiles and rebels took the capital of Kampala, welcomed by its residents. Amin reportedly fled to Libya, leaving the nation once dubbed the "pearl of Africa" with bitter tribal divisions, a bankrupt economy, and a population demoralized by his reign of terror. As of this writing he is believed to be living in Saudi Arabia. The Hillside Strangler murders involved the strangulation of 10 young women and girls whose nude bodies were discovered on hillsides in California's Los Angeles-Glendale area between October 1977 and February 1978. The case was finally broken a year later when Kenneth A. Bianchi, a 28-year-old security guard arrested in Bellingham, Washington, for the strangulation murder of two university students, made a surprise confession in court. In a deal with prosecutors, Bianchi admitted to five of the Hillside Strangler slayings and agreed to testify against his cousin Angelo Buono, Jr., 44, a Glendale auto upholsterer whom he implicated as his partner in the crimes. In return, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty against Bianchi. During 80 days of testimony at Buono's trial, Bianchi changed his story, denied his involvement in the murders, pleaded a loss of memory, then reaffirmed his confession. A frustrated Los Angeles district attorney's office tried to drop the case against Buono in 1981, saying it couldn't be successfully prosecuted. The judge, however, refused to dismiss the case. In what became the longest criminal trial in U.S. history, lasting two years and two days, the jury was presented with 55,000 pages of testimony and 2,000 exhibits. In November 1983, Buono was convicted of nine of the murders and received nine concurrent life terms without possibility of parole, though he was eligible for the death penalty. The jurors did not publicly state why they spared Buono from the gas chamber, but the judge and prosecutors in the case speculated that jurors were reluctant to give Buono the death penalty when Bianchi, equally culpable, did not receive it. For the five Los Angeles stranglings and the two Washington murders to which Bianchi pleaded guilty, he was sentenced to seven concurrent life terms with the possibility of parole. The Skid Row Stabber stabbed to death 10 men in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles between October 1978 and January 1979. All but one of the victims were described as transients. Twenty-nine-year-old Bobby Joe Maxwell was arrested and charged with the murders in April 1979 and brought to trial November 1983. Most of the delay came as defense attorneys fought for Maxwell's right to sell his life story to pay legal fees - a right which the California State Supreme Court granted to Maxwell and all criminal defendants in 1982. At this writing, the case is still being heard.

The violet flame is the seventh-ray aspect of the Holy Spirit, the action of the sacred fire that transmutes the cause, effect, record, and memory of negative karma, or 'sin'. It is the flame of freedom and of forgiveness. "Its density can be calculated and comprehended by the self; and with the speed of light, the consciousness can reach out and pass through dense substance as easily as the swimmer cuts through the water with his arms in motion." Saint Germain gives a precise meditation for gaining spiritual power through the creation or magnetization of the 'cloud' - a forcefield of vibrating energy which can be used for healing. THE TWO WITNESSES. From time to time, God sends messengers to his people. Mark and Elizabeth Prophet are messengers of God today. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they deliver the Word of Elohim (Hebrew plural noun meaning "God," the Divine Us) in the same manner in which it was delivered by the prophets of old. The Messengers Mark and Elizabeth Prophet were anointed by Saint Germain, hierarch of the imminent seventh, or Aquarian, age. He is an ascended master - one of the many sons and daughters of God who have realized the Christ, the full potential of being, and become one with God in the accelerated consciousness known as the ascension. Saint Germain is the "seventh angel" spoken of in the Book of Revelation, and his coming marks the hour when "the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." (Rev. 10:7) Thus the true teaching of Jesus Christ is now brought to our remembrance, as he promised, by the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, in the person of Saint Germain and all of the ascended masters, archangels, and Elohim - emissaries of the Holy Trinity - as they release the inspired Word of the Lord through the messengers in this age. This series of Pearls of Wisdom form a part of the dispensation of prophecy at the end time foretold in the Book of Revelation.

THE SEVEN MIGHTY ELOHIM, "THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD" (REV. 4:5), focus the energies of the seven rays - the seven states of God consciousness in outer manifestation. These seven rays correspond to the seven days of the week and to the seven chakras, or centers of God-awareness, in man and woman. There are five Elohim who surround the white-fire core of the Great Central Sun. They represent Mighty Cosmos' five 'secret rays' and the corresponding 'secret-ray' chakras (see Pearls of Wisdom Vol. XVI, 1973, pp. 95-98; 193-200). The twelve Elohim together with the four beings of nature, their consorts, and the elemental builders of form represent the power of the Creator. Likewise, the seven chohans (lords) of the rays and all the ascended masters - the Christed Ones - together with unascended sons and daughters of God represent the wisdom of the Law. And the seven archangels and their divine complements, the great seraphim and cherubim, and all the angelic hosts represent the love of God. These three kingdoms form a trinity of manifestation, working in balance to step down the energies of God the Father (power), God the Son (wisdom), and God the Holy Spirit (love).

ETHERIC RETREATS OF THE SEVEN ELOHIM. The retreats of the Elohim number among the many mansions of the Father's house (John 14:2). They are centers of light - homes, or key focuses, of the seven rays. Each retreat is an energy forcefield which serves as a distributing center, or a "step-down transformer," for the conveyance of the higher vibrations of the Great Central Sun to earth's evolutions.

Volume 21, Number 49, footnote 7. On November 18, 1978, 913 members of the Peoples Temple at Jonestown, a quasi-religious/socialist commune in Guyana, South America, committed a mass suicide-murder at the direction of leader Jim Jones. California Congressman Leo J. Ryan, accompanied by several relatives of temple members and eight newsmen, had arrived in Jonestown the day before to investigate alleged abuses. As Ryan's party and 14 defectors were preparing to board two airplanes at a nearby airstrip to return to Guyana's capital, Jones' aides opened fire on the group - killing Ryan, a defector, and three newsmen. The others, including 11 wounded, escaped. According to a survivor of the suicide-murders at the commune, when Jones discovered that not all the visitors had been killed, he ordered his followers and their children to take their own lives by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid - a ritual they had rehearsed before in middle-of-the-night emergency meetings as a loyalty test. Those who did not drink the poison voluntarily were compelled to do so by armed guards; a few managed to flee into the jungle. Jones, who was found with a bullet wound in the head, apparently committed suicide. In the aftermath of the Guyana tragedy, many religious organizations were forced to defend not only their beliefs but their right to exist. Self-proclaimed "experts" on one or a number of new religions took up the so-called "cult menace" as their cause, gestapo-type organizations began to collect files of information on groups they labelled "cults," and the number of illegal deprogramming attempts was on the rise. As a result, a growing suspicion - based on the underlying fear that all "cults" used brainwashing and therefore any one of them could become "another Jonestown" - spread across the country, setting brother against brother and family member against family member. With increased pressure for government regulation of "cults," a number of investigations and hearings were held by committees in Congress and state legislatures. The anti-cult movement has backed proposals in several states to redefine or expand guardianship laws to apply to members of religious "cults." In some cases, parents have been able to carry out what is, in effect, tantamount to legalized kidnapping - using existing statutes to obtain a temporary conservatorship or guardianship (and thus an opportunity for deprogramming) by declaring their adult child incompetent or incapable of managing his or her own property or affairs. The attack on unorthodox sects has also taken the form of anti-religious regulations of administrative agencies (such as the IRS) and widespread selective enforcement of existing laws (e.g., municipal zoning ordinances). Both the persecutors and the persecuted have pointed to Matthew 24 as prophetic of this ugly phenomenon: "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. ... Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you; and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold" - whereas Matthew 10 depicts the bitterness experienced by families divided by the karma of religious controversy: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."

Volume 21, Number 51, footnote 5. The Blue Army of Our Lady of Fátima is a worldwide movement which claims over 22 million members in 100 countries dedicated to fulfilling the requests made by the Blessed Mother in 1917 at Fátima, Portugal, where she promised, "If my wishes are fulfilled, Russia will be converted, ... and the world will enjoy a period of peace." During her six appearances to three shepherd children at Fátima, Mother Mary asked them to "say the rosary every day to bring peace to the world and an end to war ... Jesus wishes you to make me known and loved on earth. He wishes also for you to establish devotion in the world to my Immaculate Heart ... Make sacrifices for sinners and say often, especially while making a sacrifice: O Jesus, this is for the love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." Following a frightening vision of hell revealed to the children, the Blessed Mother warned, "You have seen hell, where the souls of sinners go. It is to save them that God wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved, and there will be peace ... When you see a night that is lit by a strange and an unknown light, you will know it is the sign that God gives you that He is about to punish the world with another war and with hunger, and by the persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to the world to ask that Russia be consecrated to my Immaculate Heart, and I shall ask that on the First Saturday of every month communion of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world." Blue Army members pledge to offer reparation (sacrifices demanded by daily duty), to pray part of the rosary (five decades) daily while meditating on the mysteries, and to wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel as an act of consecration to Our Lady. On June 27, 1972, the Ascended Master El Morya called the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet to begin giving the rosary and to walk the fourteen stations of the cross in fourteen-day cycles for the balancing of personal and planetary karma. Mother Mary has since dictated through the messenger the Scriptural Rosary for the New Age (thirteen mysteries focusing the power of the eight rays and the five secret rays); the Fourteenth Rosary, the Mystery of Surrender; and the Child's Rosary (see n. 20, p. 347). In fulfillment of the Blessed Mother's requirements outlined at Fátima, Keepers of the Flame worldwide give the rosary daily, followed by the consecration of Russia, China, America, and the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and partake of communion on the first Saturday of each month. In a dictation given March 22, 1978, Mother Mary came to "fulfill the message of Fátima and the command of God" for the public consecration of Russia as well as all nations under World Communism and Socialism to her Immaculate Heart. Volume 21, Number 51, footnote 13. 1968 marked the start of the most recent wave of world terrorism as extremists turned increasingly to violence as an instrument of political coercion. Terrorists began to use more sophisticated methods of operation, equipment, and weapons, and took advantage of improved means of mass communication to maximize the impact of their violence. Small, politically weak groups with little or no popular support were able to rivet worldwide attention as satellite television carried news of terrorist attacks instantly around the globe. Terrorist activities, recorded in 48 countries in 1970, had spread to 91 nations by 1981. In July 1983, terrorism expert Brian Jenkins of Rand Corporation reported that in the first three years of the eighties, world terrorism increased about 30 per year, double the rate of increase in the previous decade. The largest number of incidents have occurred in Western Europe, Latin America, the Middle East/North Africa, and North America respectively - directed at diplomats, corporate officials, military personnel, tourists, and missionaries, in that order. Noting that over half of the attacks since 1968 were made in the industrialized democracies of North America and Western Europe, American foreign correspondent Claire Sterling reported in The Terror Network (New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1981), "There is nothing random in this concentrated assault on the shrinking area of the world still under democratic rule ... The Italian Red Brigades, who like to think that they speak for many or most of their kind, have made it plain that theirs is a war for the destruction of Western democracy. They have even published a terror timetable." Sterling claims that there is indeed "an international terrorist circuit, or network, or fraternity ... A multitude of disparate terrorist groups have been helping one another out and getting help from not altogether disinterested outsiders." In the 1970s, emerging terrorist bands "were indebted to the Cubans and their Russian patrons for that honeycomb of camps around Havana," says Sterling. Among those trained in Havana were members of the Tupamaros, who early on set the example for urban guerrilla strategy and who effectively caused the downfall of Uruguay's democratic republic. Starting out in 1963 as middle-class political revolutionaries who literally robbed from the rich and gave the money, supermarket goods, etc. to the poor, they later turned to violence - bombing homes, occupying police stations, raiding military arsenals, kidnapping for ransom, and murdering. Their Movimiento de Liberación Nacional (MLN) so terrorized Uruguay - which had the most democratic government and one of the highest living standards in South America - that the left-wing government was forced to ask the military to take a more active role. With strong repressive measures, the army quelled the terrorists, then in 1976 took over the government in a military coup. Political rights of all existing party leaders were suspended for 15 years with the promise of a gradual return to representative democracy. In November 1983, at least 200,000 Uruguayans gathered at the capital in one of the largest demonstrations in their history to pressure leaders of the military regime to hold elections in 1984 as promised. The Irish Republican Army (IRA), fighting their terrorist war for over 10 years, has been responsible for numerous bombings and assassinations. Since 1969, more than 2,500 people have died in rioting, sniping, and terrorism. Fellow terrorists from the Red Brigades have called the IRA an "unrenounceable point of reference for generalized guerrilla warfare on the European Continent." Their goal is to unify Northern Ireland (now part of the United Kingdom) with the predominantly Catholic Republic of Ireland, although the government of the Republic of Ireland has outlawed the organization. But the real aim of the IRA, as they once stated, is to "destabilize capitalism in the whole of Ireland through armed struggle." They attack Irish police, officials, British soldiers, and civilians. In March 1979, the IRA planted a car bomb that killed Airey Neave, a leading Conservative Party member of Parliament, as he was leaving the House of Commons. Later that year they murdered Lord Mountbatten, World War II hero and cousin of the queen, by rigging his fishing boat with explosives. The work of the Baader-Meinhof gang, which operates principally in West Germany, has been characterized by the kidnapping and murder of prominent leaders. Most notably, they killed German industrialist Hanns-Martin Schleyer in 1977 after the West German government rejected demands from the kidnappers and from hijackers of a West German jet to release imprisoned terrorists, including three leaders of the Baader-Meinhof group. The Red Brigades, most of whom are now in prison, are known for their kidnappings and knee shootings, designed to permanently cripple victims. They engineered the 1978 kidnapping-murder of former Italian Premier Aldo Moro and the 1981 kidnapping of U.S. Army General James Dozier, rescued by Italian police 42 days later. It was reported that Dozier's captors were, for one thing, seek- ing information on U.S. nuclear storage sites in Europe. The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) is a complex organization spread across several Middle Eastern countries that operates, in effect, as a government in exile. The various factions of its military arm have a long and bloody history of international terrorist activity. Their long-range goal is to create a homeland for Arab Palestinians on land currently controlled by Israel; Israeli officials and citizens are their chief targets. On September 5, 1972, a Palestinian commando squad murdered 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team in Munich, West Germany. The Palestinian guerrilla group Black September, apparently affiliated with or an extension of the PLO, took credit for the attack. In 1978, in what was considered at the time the worst terrorist attack in Israel's history, a Palestinian death squad hijacked two buses of tourists and sightseers, shooting at passengers and passing traffic. They forced everyone onto the first bus and when the vehicle was finally stopped outside of Tel Aviv, the terrorists set fire to it with explosives while the hostages were still inside. A commando group within the PLO claimed responsibility for this Sabbath massacre which left 34 Israelis dead and 78 wounded. Armenian nationalists, in a vendetta against the Turks for the alleged 1915 massacre of 1.5 million Armenians exterminated or deported during World War I, have been responsible for a growing number of attacks on Turkish installations and diplomats in the last decade. From 1973-83 they killed 36 Turkish envoys, four of them in the U.S. In Los Angeles, which has the largest Armenian community in the U.S., Turkish Consul General Kemal Arikan was shot near his home on January 28, 1982, by two young men while his car was stopped for a red light. The Justice Commandos of the Armenian Genocide (JCAG) - a Beirut-based group that seeks to restore the Armenian homeland along the Turkish-Soviet border which they claim was seized by the Turks - took responsibility for the murder. Nine years earlier to the day, Arikan's predecessor as consul general had been murdered by a prominent Armenian land developer in Santa Barbara. Within two weeks in July 1983, Armenian terrorists planted a bomb near the Turkish Airlines counter at Orly Airport, Paris, killing seven and wounding 60; shot and killed a Turkish official in Brussels; and, in a suicide mission, blew up the ambassador's residence at the Turkish Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, killing seven. Armenian terrorist organizations range from pro-Western to pro-Communist. One of the most active groups is the Marxist Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA) which, according to some reports, may be backed by Moscow.

Volume 21, Number 51, footnote 14. On November 27, 1978, former San Francisco supervisor Dan White, 32, who had two weeks earlier resigned his post, shot and killed Mayor George Moscone in the mayor's City Hall office suite, then walked to the opposite side of the building and fired five shots which mortally wounded Supervisor Harvey Milk. White had left his post saying he could not support his wife and son on a supervisor's salary. When White later tried to get back the position, Moscone denied his request. The two murders took place less than an hour before the mayor was to name White's successor. Many speculated that the murders were prompted by White's anti-liberal, anti-gay sentiments. A former police officer and fireman, described by those who knew him as clean-cut and all-American, White reportedly viewed both Moscone and Milk (the city's first acknowledged homosexual supervisor) as nonconformists who were lenient toward criminals. During his trial, defense lawyers argued in what was dubbed the "Twinkie defense" that White suffered from "diminished capacity" - partly caused by gorging himself on junk foods during periods of severe depression. They claimed the former supervisor was thus incapable of malice, premeditation, and deliberation (requirements for a first-degree murder conviction) and could only be charged with killing in the heat of passion. On May 21, 1979, the jury returned with a verdict of voluntary manslaughter rather than murder; White, who once faced the possibility of the death penalty, was sentenced to a prison term of only seven years and eight months. The announcement of the verdict set off an explosion of violence that left scores of people injured and an estimated $1 million in damage as a crowd of about 5,000 marched from San Francisco's gay community, rioting, smashing windows at City Hall, and setting fire to police cars. For years after, there were numerous threats on Dan White's life. Learning that he would be eligible for parole from Soledad prison on January 6, 1984 (with time off for good behavior after serving two-thirds of his sentence), concerned state and city leaders urged that White be prosecuted on charges of violating a 1968 federal civil rights statute. That law states that a person who fatally injures a candidate for public office could receive a life sentence. On November 21, 1983, the Justice Department announced that although "there is little doubt that the criminal justice system in California failed to hold Dan White adequately responsible for his actions," they would not prosecute him under the federal law because Moscone and Milk were not actively campaigning for office at the time of the shootings (though both had filed declarations of intent to run for reelection) and there was no evidence that White had committed the murders to prevent them from seeking reelection. Amid extreme security precautions and secrecy as to his exact location, White was paroled as planned January 6 in Los Angeles County - a decision which evoked righteous indignation from many quarters. It was reported that White's request to return to San Francisco had been denied due to safety reasons. On the day of his release, San Francisco's gay community protested in angry but nonviolent demonstrations. Prompted partly by this controversial case, the California state legislature eliminated the diminished capacity defense in criminal actions in September 1981.

Volume 21, Number 51, footnote 15. The funneling of taxpayers' money and citizen contributions to guerrilla and terrorist groups has been reported by several sources. According to a British intelligence report, Americans have given more money to the terrorist Provisional wing of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) than citizens of any other nation, most of it through the New York-based Northern Aid Committee (Noraid) which solicits contributions from Irish-Americans. Purportedly the money aids families of imprisoned Provisionals, but government officials have charged that most of it goes to finance IRA terrorist activities. The Palestinian Liberation Army (PLO) and Southwest African People's Organization (SWAPO), two communist-oriented terrorist groups that have been granted "permanent observer" status at the U.N., have allegedly been using U.N. refugee camps to recruit and train guerrillas. A 1982 Heritage Foundation report claimed that American taxpayers shouldered 25 of the $116 million spent or budgeted since 1975 to support U.N.-sanctioned terrorist groups. The World Council of Churches has been criticized for giving large amounts of money in support of Marxist and Soviet-backed guerrillas in South Africa. Volume 21, Number 53, footnote 5. In the United States Supreme Court's first case on prayer in public schools, Engel v. Vitale (1962), the Court outlawed the recitation of a nondenominational prayer, even voluntarily, that had been composed by the New York State Board of Regents in consultation with a wide range of religious leaders. It read: "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country." The case was brought by the parents of 10 students who said the prayer was contrary to the religious practices and beliefs of themselves and their children. The Court held, 6-1, that even though participation was not compulsory, recitation of the prayer was opposed to the principle of separation of church and state and violated the First Amendment's establishment clause ("Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"), which was made applicable to the states through the Fourteenth Amendment in a series of Supreme Court decisions this century. The Court explained that "the constitutional prohibition against laws respecting an establishment of religion must at least mean that in this country it is no part of the business of government to compose official prayers for any group of the American people to recite as a part of a religious program carried on by government." Justice William O. Douglas in his concurring opinion stated that "no matter how briefly the prayer is said" the teacher who leads it "is a public official on the public payroll, performing a religious exercise in a governmental institution." The only justice to dissent, Justice Potter Stewart, disagreed: "I do not believe that this court, or the Congress, or the President has by these actions and practices established an 'official religion' in violation of the Constitution. And I do not believe the state of New York has done so in this case ... To deny the wish of these school children to join in reciting this prayer is to deny them the opportunity of sharing in the spiritual heritage of our nation." The following year, the Supreme Court heard two cases combined for decision - Abington School District v. Schempp, dealing with a state law that required the reading of 10 Bible verses at the opening of each day, and Murray v. Curlett (brought by avowed atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair), challenging a school board rule that required "reading, without comment, a chapter in the Holy Bible and/or use of the Lord's prayer" each day. In each instance, the students could be excused from the exercise. The Supreme Court ruled, 8-1, that both cases violated "the command of the First Amendment that the government maintain strict neutrality, neither aiding nor opposing religion." In the decades following these landmark decisions, the Supreme Court has been faced with a variety of cases testing the constitutionality of religious activities in public schools. One such case was DeSpain v. DeKalb County School District (1968) in which the parents of one pupil filed suit to stop the recitation of this verse by kindergarten children prior to their morning snacks, claiming it was a prayer: "We thank you for the flowers so sweet;/We thank you for the food we eat;/We thank you for the birds that sing;/We thank you for everything." The teacher testified that she used the poem to promote good citizenship and social manners; the federal district court, agreeing that the verse was not a prayer, dismissed the complaint. When the case was appealed, however, the decision was reversed and the school was not allowed to use the prayer. The Supreme Court let this decision stand by declining to review the case. The Justices also refused to review a lower court decision in State Board of Education v. Board of Education of Netcong, New Jersey (1971) denying a daily "period for the free exercise of religion." In this case, the New Jersey Supreme Court struck down a school board policy allowing students to meet in the gymnasium prior to the start of school to hear a volunteer read the "remarks" of the chaplain of the Senate or House of Representatives from the Congressional Record. In Johnson v. Huntington Beach Union High School District (1977), the trial court and California Court of Appeal refused to permit students to form a Bible Study group to meet during the school day. The court ruled that recognition of the club would advance religion by providing financial aid to a religious group (in the form of free use of facilities) and said that the students could use other public forums for religious activity. The Supreme Court also chose not to review that case. In Stone v. Graham (1980), the Supreme Court ruled, 5-4, that a 1978 Kentucky state law requiring the posting of a copy of the Ten Commandments in every classroom, to be paid for with voluntary contributions and not tax money, violated the First Amendment. The Court stated that the purpose for posting the commandments was "plainly religious" and might "induce the school children to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey the Ten Commandments." Even the singing of Christmas carols in public schools became a matter of legal dispute. In November 1980, the Supreme Court declined to review a decision by the lower court in Florey v. Sioux Falls School District that did allow the celebration of religious holidays with hymns and religious plays. Parents challenging the school board's policy and guidelines for the celebrations said the programs were unconstitutional because they established and advanced religion. However, the district and appellate courts both held that the art, literature, and music connected with holidays such as Christmas had a cultural significance and that they advanced "a secular program of education and not of religion." Many religious leaders - from Buddhist and American Indian to Jew and Christian - have, in fact, supported the Supreme Court's decision banning prayer in public schools. During hearings on the subject by the House Judiciary Committee in 1964, many mainline religious organizations came out in support of the decision - including the National Council of Churches, the United Presbyterian Church, the American Baptist Convention, the Methodist Church, the Episcopal Church, the Synagogue Council of America, and the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Even so, public fervor over the issue has not subsided and opinion polls have shown that a majority of the public clearly favors prayer in schools. In addition to legislative proposals to deny Supreme Court jurisdiction in the matter and thus give state supreme courts the final say, hundreds of constitutional amendments have been proposed to overturn the Supreme Court decision, though none have yet been successful. President Reagan became the first president to make a proposal to put prayer back in public schools with the following recommended constitutional amendment, sent to Congress May 17, 1982, but not yet voted on as of this writing: "Nothing in this Constitution shall be construed to prohibit individual or group prayer in public schools or other public institutions. No person shall be required by the United States or by any State to participate in prayer." On January 25, 1983, in the State of the Union address, President Reagan said, "Each day, your [Congress's] members observe a 200-year-old tradition meant to signify America is one nation under God. I must ask: If you can begin your day with a member of the clergy standing right here to lead you in prayer, then why can't freedom to acknowledge God be enjoyed again by children in every schoolroom across this land? America was founded by people who believed that God was their rock of safety. He is ours. I recognize we must be cautious in claiming that God is on our side. But I think it's all right to keep asking if we are on his side." See Thomas R. Volume 21, Number 53, footnote 8. The black magician Adolf Hitler: A black magician is one who misuses God's light to manipulate individuals against their free will. Some who have studied the Führer's past and the roots of his Third Reich claim that key figures in the Nazi Party actually practiced black magic. Ex-Nazi leader Hermann Rauschning, who defected to the Allies in 1940, said of Hitler, "One cannot help thinking of him as a medium ... Hitler was possessed by forces outside himself - almost demoniacal forces of which the individual named Hitler was only the temporary vehicle." In addition, others have theorized that the talismanic power behind the Spear of Longinus (the sacred spear which pierced the side of Jesus) was the inspiration of Hitler's life and the key to his rise to power. Hitler first saw the relic traditionally thought to be the famed Spear when visiting the Hapsburg Treasure House as a young man. He tells of hearing from the tour guide "the words which were to change my whole life: 'There is a legend associated with this Spear that whoever claims it, and solves its secrets, holds the destiny of the world in his hands for good or evil.' ... I knew with immediacy that this was an important moment in my life." Nearly thirty years later, in 1938, Hitler invaded and annexed Austria, took possession of the relic, and moved it from the Treasure House in Vienna to Nuremburg. The theory that Hitler himself or those who used the Führer as a tool were involved in black magic may explain, in part, why millions of the German people became caught up in the Nazi cause. Aside from the above theories, it is the thesis of the messenger that entities of darkness functioning at astral planes of existence - a false hierarchy organizing malevolent forces of anti-Light against the purposes of the Great White Brotherhood - worked through Hitler and those at the international level who cooperated with him in the crimes committed in World War II against not only the Jews and Slavic peoples, but also the Germanic peoples.
