Chapter 49
Gabriel - December 3, 1978

     O Man, O Woman of Earth,

     Hearken to the Voice of God!

     I AM Gabriel, messenger of the LORD. I stand in the earth midst the celebration of Advent. Yet scarcely do I find souls attuned to the reality of His coming, souls with the capacity to note the import of the Incarnation in Jesus Christ, the Saviour.

     When I announced to Mary, "therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God,"¹ I came with the message of salvation unto all people, that through him they might know the indwelling Light and through him rise to the full potential of the God Presence. In him was the hope of the world proclaimed by the hosts of the LORD singing glory to God in the highest.²

     Yet, two thousand years after the birth of the Lord Christ, that hope has dwindled to the distorted specter of man nailed to a cross of materialism, of a death that is unreal and yet has torment because they know not the way of the resurrection. The earth is suspended upon a cross of time and space. And the sufferings of mankind are a self-made, synthetic crucifixion filled with torment as the ego-tyrant imprisons souls in a false path promising everlasting Life but leading in the ways of death to the suicide of the soul.

     O my children, the Father desires that you should understand that there is a false crucifixion and a true crucifixion. Inasmuch as this initiation will come to all (because it is the hour of the crucifixion of the earth) as the most sublime translation from darkness to Light, from the limited to the unlimited expression of Good, we would make plain the eternal verities and alleviate the suffering often brought about by the false Christs but more often by the individual himself.

     For except the children of light come down from the cross in the science of the resurrection flame, earth and her evolutions will not move on to the glories of the new heaven and the new earth foretold by the Lord Christ unto his servant John the Beloved in Revelation.³

     There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.⁴ The way of seeking a Utopian society (whether through socialism or capitalism or communism) through a one-world superstate or a scientific humanism is all vanity and will lead to the death of the soul because it is not founded upon the rock of Christ,⁵ the Real Self of the individual son and daughter of God.

     Those who abandon the Mother as the Flame of Life, as the Woman clothed with the Sun who must rise in this age to give birth to the Manchild⁶ - those who abandon the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for the false gods, the anti-gods of the lesser self and the lesser personality - will find that their plans and their projects, however well intended, will come to naught.

     We the archangels have beheld the great tragedy in Guyana,⁷ and we have beheld the end from the beginning. Some have said, "Let us do evil, that good may come" - whose damnation is just,⁸ and those who worship at the altar of the personality cult, when that personality is the human ego, have already been forewarned: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me!"⁹

     Those leaders who lead the people - themselves in disobedience to the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and the Great Command of Love, seeking self-gain while ignoring the admonishment "Feed my sheep"¹⁰ - must be challenged in the name of Christ for their obvious exclusion of the Christ within these little ones.

     But how the innocent sheep are led astray because they have not known them by their fruits!¹¹ For there are many evildoers who come in the name of the Master, usurping his authority and the devotion of his followers by their proud and vain talking and even by their vain deeds.

     Oh, for the gift of discernment of spirits,¹² that the children of God might know the Truth and not be led astray! "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."¹³ Yet purity in heart comes from the tutoring of the soul by the Mother flame and through invocation of the sacred fire for the cleansing of the mind and soul and for the purging of the temple of the demons of ignorance.¹⁴

     The pure in heart may overlook the rough-hewn vessel of the Christed One and with compassion anoint his body with oil, but they must not overlook the sign of danger that always begins with the glorification of the self, the lies, and imitations of the Real.

     The commune in Guyana was never a Christian community. It was founded by one who had abandoned the flame of Mother as America is intended to be, an avowed Marxist determined to destroy the Christ within the individual through the ultimate perversion of religion and the life of Christ and of the Word of God recorded in sacred scripture.

     The evolution of Jim Jones is known by us: a fallen one, an archdeceiver who has appeared here and there with Lucifer's agents attempting to deceive, if it were possible, the very elect¹⁵ by an anti-Christ philosophy, making himself a god unto himself as the fallen ones have done.

     Denying the Law of the Logos, they have become a law unto themselves. And in the final hours of their incarnation, knowing that they have but a short time¹⁶ before the final judgment before the Court of the Sacred Fire, they have sought to take with them the lightbearers - not in a mere suicide of the body, but in the suicide of the soul through the ultimate denial of Christ in a cult of anti-Life.

     Again the LORD has warned, "Fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."¹⁷ This renegade had no power to destroy the souls of the innocent in hell. But he tried. While he stands before the Four and Twenty Elders,¹⁸ they will live to see the light of day on earth, once again to challenge and be challenged by human tyrants masquerading as God.

     The path of the masqueraders is the false crucifixion in which Marxists, Leninists, and Communists throughout the world have enslaved millions upon millions, replacing the glory of the risen Christ with the glory of a superstate that will surely come tumbling down even as the Tower of Babel¹⁹ was destroyed through the judgment of Love.

     The world wallows in the fear of the religious cult. Let them heed the warning of an archangel and read the handwriting on the wall: the deaths in Guyana of innocent men, women, and children were upon the altar of World Socialism to the glory of a godless society where the only gods are the fallen angels and the archdeceivers who have set themselves up in church and state for one purpose alone, and that to destroy the potential of the soul to realize the Real Self in and as the living Christ.

     Make no mistake. The cult of death to be feared is the religion of hatred spawned by the fallen ones as World Communism, moving mercilessly through Africa and Asia and now into South America and the Caribbean. These forces would lure the children of God, promising the kingdom of heaven on earth through the enslavement of souls by the seed of the Wicked One instead of their liberation through the Lord Christ.

     I AM Gabriel of the Sun. I stand in the blazing center of God-reality, and I stand in the very heart of hearts of the children of God on earth. I summon legions of light and sons and daughters of God in embodiment to enter now the battle of Armageddon²⁰ with the sword of righteousness and truth. Our strategy is one of enlightenment unto the people who are held in the bondage of a mass ignorance, the indoctrination and the brainwashing that promises the good life through money, science, education, and religion without God.

     Let those who would be the true shepherds of the people come forward and understand that the false gods have invaded every area of human life. They cannot be eliminated by violent revolution or by the denial of freedom of religion, of the press, of assembly, or of speech. Let them speak, for by their words they shall be justified and by their words they shall be condemned.²¹

     When there is the free, objective, and responsible communication to the people of the teachings of the ascended masters side by side with the philosophies of the fallen ones, Truth becomes crystal clear; and by the conversion of the Holy Spirit and not the hypnotism of the personality, the children of God will go free in this age.

     All who lead the people in the way of their personality rather than in the way of the great Person of the Lord God, the Real Person of all, themselves walk in the way of death. And all who follow them must likewise experience the death of that ego which dies in vain because the soul has not followed the true way of the sacrifice of the self that leads to eternal Life in Christ.

     O world, you have witnessed the false crucifixion of the blind leader of the blind.²² This false crucifixion, this false suffering is wholly unnecessary. Let the way of death be shunned by the true seekers, and let them understand that the real crucifixion of the Christ is the consuming of personal and planetary sin (i.e., karma) on the cross of white fire of Alpha and Omega - the place where the soul is born to eternal Life through obedience to Love, the place where the soul through love of God nourishes a hungry humanity without ulterior motives.

     This is the year for the slaying of the beast of World Socialism as the enemy of the true Christs and the true Prophets, as the enemy of thy soul on the true path of salvation through the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and the Ascension.

     "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life."²³

Volume 21, Number 49, footnote 7. On November 18, 1978, 913 members of the Peoples Temple at Jonestown, a quasi-religious/socialist commune in Guyana, South America, committed a mass suicide-murder at the direction of leader Jim Jones. California Congressman Leo J. Ryan, accompanied by several relatives of temple members and eight newsmen, had arrived in Jonestown the day before to investigate alleged abuses. As Ryan's party and 14 defectors were preparing to board two airplanes at a nearby airstrip to return to Guyana's capital, Jones' aides opened fire on the group - killing Ryan, a defector, and three newsmen. The others, including 11 wounded, escaped. According to a survivor of the suicide-murders at the commune, when Jones discovered that not all the visitors had been killed, he ordered his followers and their children to take their own lives by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid - a ritual they had rehearsed before in middle-of-the-night emergency meetings as a loyalty test. Those who did not drink the poison voluntarily were compelled to do so by armed guards; a few managed to flee into the jungle. Jones, who was found with a bullet wound in the head, apparently committed suicide. In the aftermath of the Guyana tragedy, many religious organizations were forced to defend not only their beliefs but their right to exist. Self-proclaimed "experts" on one or a number of new religions took up the so-called "cult menace" as their cause, gestapo-type organizations began to collect files of information on groups they labelled "cults," and the number of illegal deprogramming attempts was on the rise. As a result, a growing suspicion - based on the underlying fear that all "cults" used brainwashing and therefore any one of them could become "another Jonestown" - spread across the country, setting brother against brother and family member against family member. With increased pressure for government regulation of "cults," a number of investigations and hearings were held by committees in Congress and state legislatures. The anti-cult movement has backed proposals in several states to redefine or expand guardianship laws to apply to members of religious "cults." In some cases, parents have been able to carry out what is, in effect, tantamount to legalized kidnapping - using existing statutes to obtain a temporary conservatorship or guardianship (and thus an opportunity for deprogramming) by declaring their adult child incompetent or incapable of managing his or her own property or affairs. The attack on unorthodox sects has also taken the form of anti-religious regulations of administrative agencies (such as the IRS) and widespread selective enforcement of existing laws (e.g., municipal zoning ordinances). Both the persecutors and the persecuted have pointed to Matthew 24 as prophetic of this ugly phenomenon: "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. ... Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you; and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold" - whereas Matthew 10 depicts the bitterness experienced by families divided by the karma of religious controversy: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."
