The Banner of Maitreya is the Banner of Christ. Light from Alpha Centauri is Light from the Sun, Light from the heart. He who would delude himself, or be deluded, speaks of the fractioning of the Body of God as though in reality the parts were separate from the Whole. How can man separate from Life and still bear it?
Men speak of the rays and understand not that they emanate from the one Source and combine into the pure White Light. Yet many are the misqualified shadowed ones, the gray ones, the dark ones, and those who, in departing from the way of scintillating Reality into the darkness of egomania, are also breaching the covenant of Life and thus becoming like "wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever."1
Within yourselves, O men of vision, pursue the one God! What do you care that the prattlers say, "He is not," or that some say, "He is Jehovah"? Others proclaim Him in the holy mountain at Jerusalem. Still others acknowledge the coming of Muhammad, of Buddha, of Confucius, while some say there is only one "begotten of the Father" and understand not the meaning of the Word.
The one who exemplified the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth,2 said, "Before Abraham was, I AM."3 Clearly, the Way is shown as the emanation of the First Cause, or Logos, doing battle with the subsequent darkness of men, that they that walked in darkness should see a great Light.4 There is but one Light, one Spirit, and one God in us all.5
Hierarchy acts with His permission, in His Name, and as the extension of Himself. He has proclaimed, "Lo, I AM with you alway, even unto the end of the age."6 Slices of cycles are perceived, and men do not understand the balance of the cycle. They do not understand that as it was a thousand years ago, so a thousand years hence the mercy of God endureth still. Yet episodes of thundering karma are wreaked upon humanity as the spur of chastisement that draws men to His ever-loving Heart.
Men banally proclaim the wrath of God. In the same manner, they proclaim His Love. They do not understand that both are facets of His domain. In ordinary situations, His Love withers darkness; but the belt of mortal karma, as the wrath of a Holy Fire, returns to awaken the dense ones who sleep. Opening their sleepy eyes, they see at first dim and shadowed shapes; for the transition from darkness unto Light is not made in a moment. But Reality has always blazed as the noontide; it has never wedded itself to those who deal in the merchandise of darkness.
The Light of the risen Christ Consciousness cannot be claimed exclusively, even by those who proclaim themselves Christians. More than name is contact and love. Again and again, Hierarchy steps through the veil to individual hearts. The nearness of the cosmic intent at this moment in cosmic history is very great; yet the peril of shadowed monsters without standard or purpose poses an equal threat to man in the present state of his acceptance.
When humanity are told the whole truth in forthcoming releases of The Brotherhood, they will perceive at last that in the hands of Hierarchy - by the infinite grace of the Eternal God - are momentous truths, childlike in appearance, but full-grown in maturity to those who can read between the lines.
The burden of perception is upon man. Let the idle and the careless pass by. The grotto of Reality becomes to them a grave; to others it becomes the crucible of the resurrection. Light expands within; and the kingdom of the individual, sharing the open sesame of cosmic invocation, brings no dishonor to any, but to all the understanding of a vessel of honor, God-made.
Wrong thoughts should be cast off and burned. As useless garments, they clutter the ethers with effluvia. It is time for men to exercise their prerogative concerning the quality of their thoughts. Let them choose the creative essence of the New Day. Let them choose to honor themselves and humanity with thoughts of the abundant Life, with thoughts of cosmic vitality, with the resurrection flame, with regret for evil, and with the all-embracing spirit of cosmic harmony toward all Good.
Have you considered the Reality of Good? Have you considered the leap of Good toward the arms of man? Have you considered the need to embrace the Good, to express to the Good your appreciation, that it might expand and break the bonds of momentary limitation?
Morya speaks. The will of God is Good. It is embraceable, enforceable, cumulative, and infusive. Space may indeed be hallowed. The accumulation of cosmic fires is not the affair of a moment. Lifetimes unending are not enough to express or to realize it.
Only eternity can suffice for man to grasp one moment of immortality. Yet God has said, "Ye are the abundant Life." Today men snuff out their realities in temporary magnetizations to the trivial grasping for control, for worldly power, for hypnotic exhibitions and the banality of phenomena.
Why should Heaven declare itself the advocate of magic when all around us God has placed
Men have made them stones of stumbling,
But they are monuments to the Reality of God;
And they live, conveying the fruit of the earth,
The flower of the grass and the symbology
That year after year withereth not away
Never to come again,
But continue to appear until that morn
When in the dawning consciousness
Of each individual man is born
The strength of purpose in those words, "I can!"
Perceive again the wonder of it all,
Remove from life the vacant stare -
Boredom, human pall:
Majestic is the purpose of us all.
We yield one glance to God
And look no more upon the pastures of the world,
Human barns to store the fruit of passing moments -
Ours is the banner of everlasting Life.
No strife, delusion, or outer-world concern
Will hold for us allure;
Our hearts do burn with longing
For the passion of Christ Reality, ours to see,
Our life's motive once again to be.
O God, do speak and break with us Thy bread,
Anoint our head with Light and set us free,
For bondage chain and earthly claim
Cannot keep us from Thy Immortality.
Devotedly in His Name, I remain
