Shatter ye the old matrices! Shatter ye the old matrices! Shatter ye the old matrices and let men uphold the truth! Let men make new a way of life, that, rising phoenixlike from the ashes of the old comfortable nest, may be the flame of earnest golden wisdom, that in the name of God shall evoke in the world arena the greatest good for all men.
The cherished gift of holy wisdom seeks to preserve the world from destruction by making a chrysalis of the total world pattern out of which may emerge the construction of the new age without the need to destroy. Let men seek first to transmute and then, failing all, destroy that which needs to be destroyed, and create that which needs to be created.
There is no intent in the councils of heaven carelessly to destruct the fruit of the ages, but rather is there a grand design which fosters in the hearts of men a sense of God's love as the measurement of the golden rule. As faith is the substance of things hoped for, it must be administered to mankind as the first step in the alchemical rising. The old matrices of mortal thought and feeling, which now are faded, outworn garments, must first be assessed that men may see their valuelessness. Then they will discard them willingly and they will seek once again to weave by right thought and feeling the garments that will radiantly adorn the soul.
There is no trite or unmajestic concept which we hold for men, but an ever-present and eternal desire to fashion in the world community not that which is necessarily popular, but that which ought to be popularized. Religious trappings have become just that and, worse, they have become religious traps into which the nations have fallen. Men seek to preserve religion as a barbed fence behind which human cattle can be controlled, whereas religion is intended to bind men to the grace of an ever-loving God, whose every wish is to bring into manifestation for all upon earth the limitless light of his creative presence.
The words "I AM thy shield" indicate the imminence of God as the protective mantle to life. Just as the earth is covered by a great protective mantle, holding back the fires from within and providing a carpet upon which the feet of men may walk, so does God desire to protect and to perfect the divine nature of man in manifestation.
So many are deceived by outer circumstances; so many take all things for granted, continuing and perceiving in an unthinking manner to unfold a destiny whose end they scarcely know even in part. Men sit idly by and await the coming of death, while all around them the great heart of Life beats the message of the Cosmic Christ: "I AM come to do God's will" - not for a day or a year but forever. "Peace on earth, good will toward men" - not only today, but forever. Cycles of war have hypnotized the minds of men until they expect that every so many years the bitter fruit, harvested of mortal thoughts and feelings, will spew out upon the earth the destructive elements of a new and awful war.
How does this balance with the concepts of the Prince of Peace? How does this balance with the great message of the gentle Nazarene? How does this balance with the great message of the angelic hosts? Can men not see the awful activity of Mars, the god of war, and the corresponding god of death, whose careless fumings have kept the world and civilization from the fruits and peace of the Saviour for thousands of years?
Is it not enlightening for men of all races to understand the meaning of living together in peace? How can the swords be beaten into plowshares and the spears into pruninghooks? How can men live in peace unless they not only start with an idea but also begin in action?
Confidence begets confidence and fear begets fear. We understand that primitive nations now emerging into greater scientific advancement and the blending of old cultures, such as the many tribal communities that compose China, through their acceptance of the teachings of Karl Marx, continue to seek to fabricate a better world made in total unawareness of the Saviour and of the ascended masters. We cannot condone the philosophies of such nations as these who constantly seek the destruction of what to them seems an activity of foreign warlords bent on tearing down that which they desire to build for humanity; for their foundations are not in Christ but in erroneous concepts which deny the Lord that brought them to the feet of Life.
The wedding of these conflicting cultures is presently impossible. East and West indeed cannot meet any more than North and South or black and white seem to be able to find the common meeting ground upon which to base an improved civilization. They know that unless they do, chaos will continue, but they have not yet manifested the stature of soul, the stature of grace, and the tireless search for a solution which the Law requires in this age.
The maxim, "Seek, and ye shall find," is descriptive of the quest that is not confined to the Spirit; but it references also the search, never ending, that must go on for every form of altruism. The social kingdom must naturally reflect the kingdom of the Spirit. When men can accept the thundering Christ image in its awful majesty, its overpowering humility, its ocean-cup of givingness, they will both receive and give enough of the substance of divine love to their fellowmen until the world will be transformed.
I have not spoken much in this epistle of the need to magnify divine grace, and frankly, some are not aware that it can be magnified, but I tell you truly you can magnify divine grace by increasing the flow and the pressure of that flow so that it penetrates into all hidden recesses of your world and literally saturates you with the substance of divine love.
What a victory it will be for the world; what a victory it will be for the Masters of Wisdom, and what a victory it will be for Almighty God when acceptance, not rejection, makes it possible for individuals to believe strongly enough in order that they may weave into the fabric of their own thoughts and feelings daily those God ideas which will change the world!
You need not move a mountain of earth. One teaspoonful carried across the line of human thought and feeling into the divine realm will begin the seemingly endless process. Acceleration will come as more and more individuals place their hearts, heads, and hands upon the altar of purposeful service to the light. What a blessing it can be this coming Christmas season, if men and women who know these laws and believe them will capture in greater measure the active image of God and of Christ to enable them not only to shatter the old matrices, but also to build new formulations of the Spirit that shall glow in the firmament of Almighty God as a nova of realized hope. How the gentle being of the Saviour will be scattered in the fields, the fallow fields, of men's imaginations and consciousness to spring up in the miniaturization of the infant Messiah that, when expanded, will give to Christ dominion in your world.
As the kingdoms of the world accept the reigning power of universal love, the fruit of God's generosity will be upon the table of all mankind. Come, let us rejoice together; let us make merry and be glad, for the psalm of life and the hope that is to come are being expanded; the gleams of the star are being magnified and I AM thy own brother of light.
The ascended master Kuthumi was embodied as Saint Francis and won his victory through devotion to the Christ principle in all life. He now serves with beloved Jesus as World Teacher. His retreat at Shigatse is a focus for illumination, healing, and music. The Temple of Illumination over Kashmir is under his direction and is under the ministration of the Brothers of the Golden Robe. Those desiring personal contact with the master may ask their Holy Christ Selves to take them there in the etheric consciousness while their physical bodies sleep at night.

shall be for the healing of the nations."

Thou, God, hast spun

By Thy Great Law

Show the Great Pow'r

Of Love and Compassion God sent.
I AM, I AM, I AM,
Divine Love sending forth
The wonderful feeling
Of true Divine Healing
Unguents of Light now sealing
All of the schisms of men.
Stop all division
By God precision
Love is the hallowed Law "key"
Ultimate Peace
Make all war cease
Let the children of men now go Free!
Stop mankind's friction
All their predictions
Tearing bless'd heart from heart
By God Direction
Produce now Perfection
In thy Great Family - One Heart.
The above decree on brotherhood was released by beloved Kuthumi in answer to the many prayers of the students for an effective solution to the race problems we are experiencing throughout the world. It is printed with his Pearl that all may use it to magnetize the flames of divine love and illumination for the evolutions of this planet.
