Now, obviously, just as Faith is anchored within many men, so many have secured within themselves an attitude of constant questioning rooted in doubt. I AM willing to discourse on the relative values of these two opposite poles of thought-attitude, the one obviously resulting in some degree of credulity and the other in some measure of skepticism. It must be recognized first that Descartes' statement, "I think: therefore, I am," is rational and ought to be acceptable to both skeptic and believer. The rational mind chooses to accept and believe in something and usually it is influenced either by contemporary or past exponents of some theory or concept. The spread of knowledge and systems of thought from one person to another is part of the academic process inherent within man's evolvement.
Beloved Jesus said, "If the blind lead the blind, both fall into the ditch" (Matt. 15:14). This should indicate that blind faith is not a requirement of true spirituality. But conversely, neither is blind skepticism indicative of noble employment of the faculties of human reason. There are many obvious proofs of the existence of a Higher Intelligence, but no one can produce any substantial proof of the existence of a non-intelligence! Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that the thinking part of man, that which knows that he is and can practice various forms of reasoning from simple deduction to more acute syllogisms, ought to fairly examine the fabric of the invisible world before rejecting any cosmic possibility within the span of reasonable imagination - simply because it is categorically classified as invisible!
Scientific honesty is needed. Men have unlocked amazing secrets of Nature in the so-called invisible atomic world by persistence and recognition of the need to search and believe that much was hidden that would one day be proven. This has been done in the present age and more is being released of a scientific nature day by day. Theology and philosophy ought to be considered in a more scientific way, for they deal with the Life and Intelligence of Man and they have given rise to the more easily understood and provable basic sciences of chemistry and physics.
My discourse here shall be short, but it is intended to spur honest thought within the nature of the researcher and protective thought within the being of the credulous, thereby producing balanced predilection to Right Action and obedience to Universal Law! The Ascended Masters are the most learned men ever to graduate from the field of human research and the University of Life. Many of them have pioneered in the past much of the advanced Truth on Earth today in the realms of science, philosophy, and theology.
The Truth of the Ascended Masters is the Truth of every man and can be easily proven by those who are willing to make the effort. Years of intense spiritual pursuit and study do not always bring the desired results to the seeker. Man, in endeavoring to construct an understanding of the invisible, spiritual world, requires Faith as a prerequisite in order to design the tools of understanding. Skepticism is lack of preparation and basic ignorance of a "cloud of witnesses" which encompass mankind around.
To accept any idea merely because someone says that it is true is equally foolish, and it is certainly not scientific faith. Genuine Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the realization within of the deep longing men feel for contact with the Master Comforting Intelligence of the Universe; moreover, it is the spiritual, internal evidence of those things which have not yet been objectified within the physical world of cause and effect. To deny the Spirit is to deny the wind, for everywhere men are surrounded by self-evident Life and the engravings of Eternity on the rock of materiality.
Arise and become Masters of spiritual attainment which, hand in hand with immortalized Science, enfolds the Earth with Golden Age preparation and progress spun from millenniums of effort toward Understanding.
The international tensions generated by the Cuban situation ought not to be given any power by the sincere students of the Light. Beloved Ones, We have never forsaken you and We never will! If the world were to crash into fragments, Our Invincible Council of Light, serving with the Angelic and Cosmic Hosts, would prepare to receive you into a wondrous haven of protection and refuge. Our service is continual, WORLD WITHOUT END!
It is, however, your solemn responsibility to avert any dire or terrible situation from developing by unifying with the light and decreeing effectively, powerfully, and rhythmically. As you pour forth your energy, bear in mind that the Lord of the First Ray stands ready to receive it and to use it in producing the Will of God among men. Be certain that your calls shall receive the response of all Heaven. As the mundane councils meet at the United Nations, rest secure in the knowledge that Heaven's Councils are not idle!
America and India are bearing the brunt of the Sino-Soviet offensive which rears its dragon head in the form of two prongs of blind, communistic, ideological hatred, of which they have made Cuba the fulcrum. America is the Heart and India is the Head of Saint Germain's bulwarks of Freedom. Every child of Light who loves Freedom and Liberty will rouse himself to the militant defense of the Mighty Spiritual Ideals focused in these two way-showing nations. Protection shall be invoked in Christ's Name! The destructive intent of communism, the war plans of the corrupt, godless, laggard generation shall be thwarted as the savants of the Light rally to Her standard.
