Our Beloved Ascended Master Morya Speaks:
So reads the markings on a bronze plaque at Provincetown, Massachusetts, to commemorate the hallowed ground where the early Pilgrims first set foot on the land of America after a long and tedious journey on the blessed Mayflower. Here in the New World they were seeking the freedom to worship according to the dictates of their own conscience, which is ever the true voice of the I AM Presence speaking in and to each human heart.
There were journeys previous to this crossing, some less and perhaps some more spectacular; but none more dramatized as representative of that "spirit of seeking freedom," such as the early Pilgrims so beautifully outpictured as they planted deeply their roots in the land of America.
To make this great country what it is today required vast preparation, some unknown and some well known. Beloved Saint Germain labored ceaselessly to prepare this nation for its destiny in his embodiment as Christopher Columbus (Christopher or "Christ bearer") when from the decks of the Santa Maria he surveyed the newly discovered (newly to the Western known world) land of America and claimed it in the name of his queen, to the outer, Queen Isabella, but in his heart it was Mary, ever Santa Maria, the Queen of Heaven, in whose name and spirit he claimed all this living verdure.
Further, it was in the name of the Son of Mary - the ever-living Christ of every man, who so clearly uttered these words, "I AM the Light of the world"2 and whom Saint John declared is the Light of every man3 - that he raised high the standard of the Maltese cross, which today is the acknowledged symbol of Saint Germain himself, symbolizing as it does his devotion to the cause of freedom, for which in divine harmony Mary, Jesus, and Joseph (Saint Germain) served so long before in Galilee and Nazareth.
The part the Ascended Masters played in the founding of the original American heritage is little known to the masses today because it is not made a part of either the religious or secular history of America, so well named as it is, land of the free.
Now, blessed ones, the greatest honor you can ever pay to Saint Germain is to hold high the torch of freedom in your personal world, calling unto him daily with the `magic wand' of your full attention to direct into the affairs of this nation (America) and all men of every land that God-inspired direction and spiritual radiation of freedom's forgiving love, including the full power to overcome all enemies at home and abroad, within the personal world or without, all by the perfection of the Presence itself!
You see, all freedom is and was a gift from the Presence. For no one can ever take from God the freedom which he, God, is! Thus to keep yourself unstained from a sense or feeling of human condemnation or a feeling of rebellion or resentment, you must anchor your attention in the pure breath of freedom which belongs to your very own God Self, which is your life. Then you must blaze the violet fire through the human creation, changing it to divine Light and love.
Always call for the Presence to protect America and all nations so all may drink freely of the cup of liquid Light which the nation America is to be to the whole world (America is the heart and India is the head of the world today, but every nation has its own vital function to make of the whole a loving, beautiful planetary body to honor its Creator).
Thus, when you call forth the perfection of all nations rather than amplify the negative qualities of any, you are blazing forth a blessing by releasing the power of your own God Presence to bless all men with the unstained breath of freedom, which, while embodied in Saint Germain, he longs to bestow upon every man who will but lovingly accept it right now today.
Now, those stalwart men who braved the elements and trusted in God, who rules both wind and wave, to carry their frail ships to America's shores whether in Columbus' day or later on were all part of humanity, whose search for freedom is the epic of all time, teaching by its example that the holy Light of freedom is a fire which cannot ever be extinguished!
By these examples know that it was Light which framed your Constitution, O America, and it is this which makes it so cherished today as an instrument of liberty to all nations! It guarantees, too, religious freedom to all, even to those so bigoted as to refuse it to others. (Yet interesting perhaps is the thought that some of these same individuals have often sought refuge behind the very Constitution, the spirit of which they inwardly spurn.)
Your life today, blessed chelas, is a journey still. And the meanings of the past, so full of examples of the kinder emotions, in which we are indeed interested, can by its pages from the book of memory inspire you today to accept the cup of our words and radiation so that drinking deeply of the fount of holy wisdom - not by mere reading alone but by absorbing our God-feeling and divine illumination lying just behind the seeming veil of our words - may make clear to you that God, who watches every sparrow's flight with loving care and who admires the flashing magnificence of the eagle, always provides the comfort of his presence in the most blessed and helpful way just when it is needed most.
The meaning of America is clear to every sincere student of the Law of Life who, loving the I AM Presence with all his or her heart, will take time to meditate upon it. For true Americans are those who love and practice freedom regardless of their national origin or location on this planet.
I, Morya, declare, may the walls of light continue their expansion, to seal their protective canopy around the shores of this nation and all nations, keeping the shadow of war from the door of all mankind. May the meaning of one God and the great spirit of divine unity become more and more clear to all.
As we honor Saint Germain on Columbus Day this year, try to envision the lovers of freedom who are united with you. There you will find, whether all are conscious of one another or not, the legions of the violet flame, the hospitalers of the New Jerusalem - those sincere Masonic consistories (of which Saint Germain is the true sovereign grand master); and with justice, equality, and love, those blessed Knights of Columbus (which twain are really twin arms destined to serve when the divine ultimate is revealed as arms of freedom and justice, which shall not perish from the earth). We love you, Saint Germain!
